"In October 2002 Barbara Levy Boxer voted against the joint resolution passed by the U.S. Congress to authorize the use of military force by the Bush Administration against Iraq. Later on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart she characterized that vote as "The best vote of my life."

In June 2005, Senators Boxer and Russ Feingold (D-WI) cosponsored Senate Resolution 171 calling for a timeframe for U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq.

Boxer's petition demanding an exit strategy from Iraq drew 107,218 signatures."

radiob, I think that 'didntinhale' may have gotten banned for spamming/flooding if not prosecuted. Hopefully the others might learn also.

Good evening ToolMangler unfortunately your wish is not true as I spotted him earlier. They need to learn how to debate instead of copying and pasting.

"All this is the problem of Mr. Bush. Your saying at least Clinton didnt molest the nation, wrong he got us all unfortunately. We took four years to get over his dishonesty and now we hear of his great moral leadership. I am also tired of this twerp calling all Jews in Government service, NeoCons. Try something new Adolf since your Nazi friends are no longer around to support you. Remember if all is not going as you want it just blame it on Bush. Grow up"

Very smug chatter after 4 years of war, going into the 5th year.

When all else fails, scream "NAZIS !!" and try to win the argument that way.

There are plenty of American Jews on record as opposing this stupid war, including Barbara Boxer (she voted against the authroization to use force in Iraq; she wanted strong action in Darfur) and Russ Feingold, so come out from behind your human shield defense.

Blame Bush ? If this war had turned out to be a "Slam Dunk", we'd have never heard the end of your "Bush the Conquering Hero" ejaculations.

You can't have it both ways, not that you aren't going to try.

The real story here isn't who said what in the Oval Office, or whether Tenet actually used the phrase "slam dunk" in reference to anything -- particularly since Iraq War II was a fait accompli, having already been rubber-stamped by the GOP-led Congress.

The real story here is the current finger-pointing and backstabbing within this rapidly disintegrating White House. It conjures up the sad and disconcerting image of rats racing to desert a ship of state that is no longer seaworthy, and it raises the question: was Bush ever truly in charge of his administration?

radiob,

Re: "And if he wants to be candid now why not provide evidence to back up his claims? Or is this just a PR for book sales?"

Very good questions.

If only this nation would have been asking the tough questions before the invasion instead of postmortem. The fault lies in many hands, the citizens who failed to ask (it is our civic duty) the congress, and the adminstration itself. Instead everyone took a ride on the 9-11 express and failed to look where it was leading.May we never be so blinded by hysteria and so naive as to trust our leaders 100% again.

This forum has gone from debate to the theatre of the absurd. Individuals like pwslm have been allowed to hijack the forum.

Back to the article itself where was Tenet before we invaded with the "candor" that he now possess? At least individuals like O'Neil and Clarke had the fortitude to come forth before the invasion not 4 1/2 years later. And if he wants to be candid now why not provide evidence to back up his claims? Or is this just a PR for book sales?

You know, I am so sick of hearing you whiners talk about the "lies" leading up to the Iraq war. The first Bush Administration, the Clinton Admistrations, and this current Adminstration ALL had the same intelligence concerning Iraq. They ALL believed the Iraquis had WMD. If you don't believe that you need to look at some of the Congreesional records and what YOUR fearless leftists said concerning what we needed to do about the WMDs. The difference is that BUSH was STUPID enough to invade because the "sanctions" were doing no good. Bush is guilty of that. They ALL were guilty of believing the intelligence.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Please try and use proper language when in the public arena. We all know that Democrats are honest and never lie. No Clinton did not have *** with that woman no matter what the stain on that dress shows. All this is the problem of Mr. Bush. Your saying at least Clinton didnt molest the nation, wrong he got us all unfortunately. We took four years to get over his dishonesty and now we hear of his great moral leadership.
