apennachio,,,, That's what your GOP tells you, & it's deadly wrong ---- Redeploy, Redeploy to fight terrorists instead of a Civil War for the Sunni's... Give our troops a winning strategy

Do you think the Constitution is just a "g*ddamned piece of paper" as well?

After all, that was written 200 years ago as well.

Oh, and so far, the "conservatives" have offered nothing.

The "conservatives" started this whole mess.

But I bet you will deny that.

Too late. As soon as the Shiites took control it became an Iranian Satellite state.

The vast majority of Shiites in control have extremely strong ties to Iran, who helped them for so many years while they were living in exile.

And their ties to Iran are stronger than their ties to America.

Quotes and parroting the press does not make it so.

You will have your chance to change thing in '08. When that happens I would like to be a fly in the booth but I really don't have to be there to know what I already know.

Tell me the war has been mismanaged, tell me you don't like "W", tell me that Runsfeld let us down, tell me that Powell was a an incompetent, tell me that the Democrats and the Republicans are incompetent as a group (including McCain, Pelosi, Arlen Specter, Hillary), tell me that the voting public is duped by both parties year after year, tell me that you now think a guy like Obama or Hillary or Romney or McCain should not have a chance and I will agree with you. But to sign on to some meaningless quote that was spoken 200 years ago is just that, meaningless.

We need somebody with true conservative values, now don't go off half cocked saying that we have a religious right person here. Look at the conservative platform and tell yourself that it is totally opposite of your views. Go ahead.

Doesn't Gates realize that Americans are still dying in Iraq - even while the "crackdown" is in place?

While Gates needs to "play up" the crackdown, the real test will be months, even years down the track.

apennachio,

The U.S. went to war on the basis of rigged intel that claimed that Iraq had weapons of mass distruction when in fact it did not (re: the Downing Street Memos). This war was a grave error and it should never have been waged.

"Dissent is the highest form of patriotism." - Thomas Jefferson

"Those who would give up essential liberties for temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety" -Benjamin Franklin

Oh, and please don't tell me I hate America or that I'm undermining the morale of the troops, just because I loathe the actions of the Bush Administration. What part of the First Amendment do you not understand?

Mdc,,, Have you ever tried to have an intellegent discussion with either an Evangilist or a extreme Southern Baptist ????? --- They don't listen & shut down intellegent discussions on anything that doesn't agree with thier ideaology -- You need a baseball bat to talk to them.
