- CBS news folks only see bad in Re-pubs, and always good in Dem's.

- Mr. Schieffers "suggestion" of what Mr. Cain should say is not why I choose to watch Face The Nation. For programming purposes may I also inform that I am also NOT interested in what Mr. Schieffer "suggests" guests (or those appearing on the show) to say about Obesity, religion, lifestyle choices, emotional healing for cancer survivors and all issues we as individuals of a great free nation must examine daily. The only suggestion I feel appropriate for Mr. Schieffer to make is for his guests to speak on the issues in their own words at their own prompt so viewers may be informed. I can only assume Mr. Schieffer feels he beat cancer because someone told him not to smoke and that he feels strongly that others will quit/not start if someone steps up and tells them not to smoke. Statistics do not support this theory. If FACE THE NATION could create a discussion that would result in someone telling themselves, I choose not to smoke...that would be interesting. Mr. Schieffers opinion that Mark Block is/looks cool in the ad is very strange to me (caucasian, 52yr female, married, 2 children, registered voter, seeker of non partisan solutions and lost mother to cancer). My personal response was no matter your position, because we live in a nation that currently does not have laws dictating us, we all have health choices we must make for ourselves everyday. Respectfully Submitted

- He's right, Don't smoke. But that doesn't change a thing about Cain's electability. It's a red herring. Try to stay on task America.

- Classic double-talk from this confused sock puppet operated by the Koch brothers. He spent years of life fighting on behalf of big tobacco.

- We thought we had it bad when Palin's daughter was the poster child. The issue isn't whether Block smokes or not, the issue is the public use of youtube for Cain's campaign that panders to the 'smokers rights' groups. Moving from Florida to SC I was amazed the restaurants in Myrtle Beach still had 'smoking sections' and then, after living there for three long years I realized everything in that state is 3 decades behind, especially their schools, attitudes, overall like moving to a 2nd World Country. Lack of education prompts these people of SC, Kentucky, Texas to smoke and Cain is a loser for using cheap tactics to lure these people.

- Schieffer is such a hypocritical hack. There is a lot more smoking in movies that are seen by more young people than will ever see this internet video. Schieffer smoked, Obama still smokes, Desiree Rogers former White House Social Secretary and Rahm Emanuel smoke. You would think his irk would be directed at them, not at a person who has never smoked. Could it be that Cain is a republican and not a democrat or a Hollywood lib?

- Ok, Mark Block smokes and so does (or did) Barry Obama. So are you implying that all people that smoke are second class citizens? That would be discriminatory wouldn't it? Please quit showing your bias so much.

- we all know smoking is bad for us but it is an adult choice whether we decide to smoke or not. our goverment should never be able to tell business' what they can or can't do. and again it is always ok
when the wealthy are involved. you can smoke in a casino, why not resturants. smoking and non-smoking sections are just fine. we only want to face what we want to face in this country, second hand smoke
try living in an enclosed garage with no windows and a car running. do the people in this country know how deadly car exhust is. but we have millions running on our highways, in our neighborhoods , even our own garages. stop the pretense america, the smoking bans are only a hughe money making opportunity. Non smokers jump on the ban wagon, but when it effects them with food prices, jumping on it and whatever next the government wants it say in they don't like it. give them an inch. - Reply to this comment
