There was an interesting letter to the editor in my Sunday paper. It described a man that worked his way through college and earned a college degree. He got a good paying job right out of college. (Then the financial greed of Wall Street - my emphasis)brought 2009 with economic disaster. He was laid off from his job, and now is working minimum wage to provide for his family. Every day he sends out resumes hoping for a job. He wrote that his American dream has turned into an American nightmare.

I don't remember any justice being served on Wall Street. Some laws were passed, but not enough to prevent it from happening again. The economy hasn't recovered and the Middle Class is struggling. Many have been laid off. So, people have a right to be angry.

The Republicans won't spend money to create jobs unless people are laid off to save money. What a loopy thought!

The 1% aren't living pay check to pay check. They can afford to be taxed to provide money to the government, which increases government spending, which puts people to work. These wage earners now have money to buy things which creates demand, which causes companies to increase production, causing more people to be hired, which .... Now that is the loop of Keynesian economics. History proves it.

Nevermind, I have to go......I think you are just going to have a different view of America and different opinion, than I am.

--------

Indeed - I am against your religious suppression of those who don't agree with your views.

Conservative gays who live peacefully, who don't try to push their minority preferences on others, are no problem and not among the extreme.....

-------

Interesting concept. It was the Log Cabin Repubs - who are conservative, but not socially conservative - who brought down DADT.

slappy-mcjohnson, I'm not saying being gay is right or wrong, that wasn't what I was talking about.....that is natural, so be whatever you are.....what I'm talking about is the desire to Re-Define Marriage.....

-------

Marriage has been redefined several times.

I bet you were against inter-racial marriage too, weren't you??

Get used to it - you can't to a damn thing about it, and you still have your own word: "matrimony". The GOVERNMENT hijacked the term "marriage" for a SECULAR certificate.

So are you against atheists marrying???

or maybe they left to seek markets abroad in other countries.....are they allowed to do that ???

-------

Surely they are. Do you think they are patriotic for doing so, or simply opportunists to get the lowest wages they can?

I can blame your type for having to press "1" for English.

The protesters are not playing victim card. They are the victims of reckless corporation practises and failure of government oversight. On top of that, government is being bought and controlled by corporations. Federal Reserve is a private company but government let it run the economy of the country. It lowers interest rate to please its member banks. But screw countless Americans who did the right thing by saving. Countless Americans lost interest incomes they depend on for living. A saver would get not more than 1% interest on his/her saving. But saver has to pay multiple times the interest if that saver borrows the same money he/she had saved. Worse yet if borrowed on credit cards. Even with that kind of protection, many big and small banks still failed.

However, the government CAN make the business environment more friendly for them to operate, then they might come back.

--------

It already is. We have one of the lowest EFFECTIVE corporate tax rates out there. We just don't have cheap enough labor to make stockholders happy.

Keep your head in the sand - I know you will anyway.

slappy-mcjohnson, why would I care what people do in their homes ? It's none of my business.....make it public, then it is our business.

---------

So again, you're for slavery, and against women voting or owning land?

it appears that the republicans have a problem with people assembling in a peaceful manner to express there compliants. At least these people did not bring weapons to the demostrations. The same can not be said for some of the tea party types.
