- It's simple, when the Republicons are in power the economy tanks. It happened under Bushoccio in 2008 and then again now.
Tea Party Downgrade for sure. - Reply to this comment
- Trillions lost because of a Contrived Conservative Crisis. Tea Party: what a joke. They love America as long as they do not have to pay taxes. Pretty faces who do not know how to govern.

- This is probably not the end of the damage from the Tea Party Downgrade. You know, I hope we all wise up now to what the greedy billionaires want to do to America using the brainless idiot Tea Party stooges.

- Too many quotes to chose from. Here's a couple: Axelrod says Obama told leaders in congress: ok, let's get together, let's compromise. Not the words of a leader, maybe a pre-school teacher. John Kerry, David Axelrod, a couple more: This is the TEA PARTY DOWNGRADE. Yeah, they caused all this, they over-spent, they won't deal with entitlements, they are borrowing $.40 on every dollar, they are spending 4 billion dollars every DAY interest, yeah the Tea Party' caused the debt to equal everything that's made in this country 100%, they caused all these life-long investors to send the stock market down 2000 points in the last 10 days, Obama gets his advice and counsel from GE, who pays no US taxes and makes 70% of their income in foreign countries, isn't he paying attention,The Tea Party has decided the American Economy is not worth investing in, to anyone, and finally, this is the KEY POINT, listen-up, after the Tea Party Leader spoke today, the american stock market dropped from -300 to -635. Would you still have voted for Obama if someone would have told you we'd be in 3 wars, the country's credit rating is downgraded, first time in history, all of this President's Financial Advisors have quit except one?

- To 1 pheasant and his/her friends. It is apparent that you and many others that like to look for false bogeymen are not able to be educated. If you wanted to be, you could by doing some research on the tea party, stating positions that are opposite of tea party positions. So you can continue to display your ignorance in front of the public. I won't try to educate you anymore. Politicians count on those that readily consume sound bites to continue to perpetrate their fleecing of the American public. They must love you and many more like you. The fact of the matter is that republicans and democrats are the 2 parties that created this mess and the 2 parties that are refusing to solve the very mess they created. I refuse to continue to support either party because I don't want more of the same. The same, as offered by either party, has not worked and is not working, or we would not find ourselves where we are today. They continue to violate the constitution at every turn. Those who crafted this document were a lot smarter than those who are supposed to adhere to it today. Men perverted the very thing that made and could have kept this country strong. The true fiscal conservative is the only candidate, regardless of office, that has a rats chance in hell of righting the ship. If you don't believe it, and continue to vote the way you have, then you deserve more of the same crap that brought us to where are today. I, and many more like me however, have had enough, and we are putting are votes behind those who may actually follow through on the right course. If they don't, then out they go and on and on until we find people who truly represent the things that will make this country great again.

- Axelrod noted that "at the end of the day, Bob, this election isn't just going to be about the President."
OK Bonzo - If a presidential election ISN'T about the president then somethings royaly screwed up Axeldope.
The President IS the one resposible for leading this country and his party. Clearly the people of this country are sick of Obama, his party and polticians in general (Both sides) It shouldn't surprise folks if there is a wholesale dumping of politicians including Obama over this entire debacle.
This mess wasn't news to Obama after he got in office unless he is even more clueless than his critics claim. This pot has been bubbling near a boil for years now. HE, Obama wanted to handle it and clearly he is not up to the job. He failed to win support for his party adequately to maintain control of both the house and senate and he hasn't been able to pull the opposition into his 'plans' because he lacks leadership and vision. His only vision is the stereotypical liberal one focused on socialization of services and the liberal agenda on gay rights, immigration and the standard liberal fare.
This problem is going to require a complete revisit of our nations priorities including foreign aid, commitment to SS, Medicare, immigration (With regard to services for immigrants) and the national debt. IF the Clinton plan was so successful then why hasn't Obama returned to it and used the popularity of Clinton to garner support?
The problems are not the result of the Tea Party but rather the hatching of numerous 'eggs' laid by congress and presidents over the last 30 plus years. The Tea Party is simply the voice of people sick and tired of seeing the problem covered up by pushing it to the future for someone elsee to solve. The problem needs to be solved NOW not in 4, 8, 10, or 20 years. One only needs to look at the serious problems facing so many European countries that have tried socialized programs and the failing of the economies due to high taxes and failing economies. - Reply to this comment
