The Tea Party has several tens of thousands of members. MoveOn.org has over 5 million. Please join us tomorrow August 10 as we demand that Congress Create Jobs Not Cuts.

It is time to tax the rich and make those who do well in America do well by America. It is time to demand Congress create good jobs for America and stop the brutal assault on the middle class.

Of course this is the fault of the Tea Bag Party. They represent a few billionaires who have had ruining the government for their profit as a wet dream for 30 years.

The desperate cheap shot accusatory and blaming tactics used repeatedly by the Democrats conveniently overlooks the intransigence of their own party. Their stance to not budge is no more and no less legitimate than anyone else's you who oppose their position. Regardless of who it's aimed at it's irrelevant what hate filled labels they choose to fire at them as long as it draws attention away from the truth.
No doubt their pridicatble and slanderous reaction will continue knowing htat the masses that do not follow the political process will be influenced by the superficial headlines as they relentlessly drive them into their naive little brains.

Any person in the country who had the debt to income ratio the US currently has would have a bad credit score. This downgrade has nothing to do with the debt ceiling...it has everything to do with how much the money the government is taking in as opposed to how much it is putting out. Our government is broken. People can play the blame game all they want. The fact of the matter is our government is broken because of extremism on BOTH sides of the aisle. The Tea Party is way too far right, and the President/Pelosi/Reid are way too far left. I'm voting against them all in 2012.

The Tea Party has no solution for the unemployment or anything concerning the economy they are just a bunch of racist obstructionists collecting food stamps while Queen Bachmann collects subsidies!

It really is because of the Tea Party and Congress in general. I don't think this downgrade happens if they had just agreed from the beginning to raise the debt ceiling.

But it's all bs anyway. The top 2% are going to use this to buy cheap shares and make yet more money. I'm sure some bs good news will come out soon enough so they can then sell at a premium and take in tons of profit...

It has been obvious that this was going to happen if things didn't change. Obama's bailouts helped only those that could afford to buy new cars or new appliances which helped these businesses temporarily, but had no lasting benefits. So my tax money went to help people with more money then me buy new appliances and cars that they probably didn't need, when I didn't have the money to take advantage of this program so didn't. His bailouts only helped a few. At least with Bush's tax cuts every tax payer had a little extra money to buy things with or pay bills with. I know that it helped me.

Bush and others tried to bring attention to the looming Housing crisis in 2003 and others before that, but were ignored so here we are. Congress has failed us miserably for years largely because of politics and greed.

While Congress is looking at cuts maybe the first thing they should be cutting is the outlandish benefits that they have given themselves over the years. Think how much we would be saving if their pensions were taken away from them. If I am remembering my facts right, if they are in office for 5 years, when they are voted out of office they receive on average $67,000 a year pension, no matter what their age, until they die. If they have only been in office 2 years they receive on average $33,000 a year. There is something seriously wrong with this picture in good times, but when our country is in crisis it is a disgrace!

I am also sick of seeing our President and Congressmen out campaigning instead of doing the job that the taxpayers of this country have hired them to do. This is not right. If they want to spend all their time campaigning then they need to resign their position so we could put someone else in office that will stay there and do the they've been hired to do. They should not be paid when they aren't there doing their job.

I also think that the Obama's should repay the tax payers for all of the vacations they have taken that have cost the taxpayers millions of dollars.

Obama also needs to get rid of all of the czars that he has put into
office that have ties to socialism and communism. Why would we create
departments so that more tax money is going out and why would we create
czar positions. When I think of the word czar I automatically think of
the Soviet Union and Communism.

I am sick of corruption in government and feel that cuts need to start there. What about you?

Lets stop the blame game and fix the problem. The tea party didn't get us into this mess so let's quit blaming them.
