- Didn't this idiot Republicon session learn ANYTHING from his party's complete failure. Do the self-hating Americans ever tire of supporting this Top 1% party of obsolete wackos? It's mind bogglingly stupid to support ANY Republicon for ANY elected office. There just is no excuse if you have half a brain.

- Corporations have not created any jobs and don't intend to. And about giveaways the tax payer pays our politicians now and the rest of their lives along with medical, talk about welfare. Too bad big business owns the Republicans. They are not the voice of the people like they claim.

- Families that make $200 - $250K a year, especially in NY and NJ, are NOT millionairs and billionairs. All of you whine that the rich need to pay more because you think it will help you, you better think again. YOU WILL BE PAYING MORE. The real millionairs and billionairs like Obamam, Pelosi, Blumberg and all of the Hollywood liberals will still be getting tax breaks and loopholes or just not paying outright like Mr. Geithner himself or Charlie Rangel. Really folks the stupidity of the comments on this site astounds me. Everyone ready to bash anyone that is successfull. Whatever happened to the days that people strived to be successfull? Now eveyone is looking for a handout and we have our countries leaders such as that idiot Pelosi telling us that food stamps are the biggest bang for the buck and you idiots believe her. Wake up already, get off the couch, go to work and pay for yourself and keep your hands out of my pockets. I earned what I have and fully plan on keeping it not giving it to some illegal because the dems want to buy votes.

- Wait, who's makeing all the demands here?
Republicans demand deficit reduction or else.
Republicans demand big spending cuts or else.
Republicans demand no tax increases.
Sorry, you can't have all 3. The president has offered to meet 2/3 of their demands. They've won, but they can't take yes for an answer. - Reply to this comment

So, what do you think that might get them? A few billion annually?
A few billion annually?!?!
You're cracked.
MOST of the wealthy pay a fraction of what those of us in the middle class pay. If they, and the multi-billion dollar corporations, would just pay the rate that they are SUPPOSED TO, we could balance the budget AND have a surplus. - Reply to this comment

Republicans don't use government money to "invest in jobs". They try to get the private sector to create real jobs that enhance revenue.
-----
Yep and they have been holding back on that "investment" in jobs for years now. So at 9.2%, when do you think they are going to make the big "push"??????? - Reply to this comment

Ryan's plan!
==================================
Sure! Drink some more of that lemon Kool-Ade that the republiCons are offering you. Only don't be shocked when you discover that the Kool-Ade fountain is being supplied by a row of urinals! - Reply to this comment

I see Amtak given precedence over freight systems.
Personally, I have always thought that the best system would be elevated rails above existing tracks. Like monorails.
---
You must not ride rail much. And I'd agree with your idea for the elevated rail...but just what privet sector company is going to build it!?!?!?! - Reply to this comment

"And why hasn't Amtrak worked out instead of being a money pit?"
----
Because Amtrak does not own the tracks! Freight rail traffic takes priority over Amtrak passenger rail making it inefficient. We SHOULD have the best commercial passenger rail system in the world. Why don't we????? - Reply to this comment

"All you queens do is whine that you might have to act responsibly for a change."
---
Ohhhhh.... It was SOOOOO "responsible" to go into Afghanistan and Iraq with NO exit strategy and no funding strategy (Note: Bush didn't even include the cost of either war in his budget.). And it was SOOOOOO "responsible" to pass an unfunded prescription drug bill. And it was SOOOOO "responsible" to defund regulatory oversight of Wall Street and the banks.
I can see how all that "responsible" behavior got us to where we are now. - Reply to this comment
