- The founding fathers are rolling over in their graves. They were willing to give their lives to get rid of the yolk of monarchy. And after over 225 years we are in worse shape than we were under the British. We now have giant corporations and a few filthy rich plutocrats running everything. They have hid it from most of the people who actually think we have freedom and democracy in America.
Great job of propaganda so that people will not rise up in revolution. - Reply to this comment
- The founding fathers specifically wanted to keep the influence of big corporations at a minimum. They obviously failed miserably. The giant corporations have not only seized the government because of deregulation but with globalization, they can do anything illegal they want and can get away with it.
They have even convinced millions, maybe billions of people that they actually can do no wrong. They are destroying the earth in front of us in clear view and people want more, more, more. We are a doomed, primitive species that does not deserve the earth. - Reply to this comment
- This no longer a country by the people and for the people. It is for the wealthy and big corps.

- This is what you get when 90% of the bums are lawyers. They make big talk about fighting as long as its somebody else son doing the dieing.Thatt goes for our slime ball POTUS too.Just think if they had to go fight the terrorist,we would had lost from day one.I love my nationbut we have a corrupt goverment that we can't control. Some say we vote them all out,,but all you get is a new batch of thieves to replace them with. Now if we could lower ourselfs to finding plain people who are not rich and famous we may be able to control things again.how about real local prople, not someone who moves to your sate just to get elected. You know like the movie,"Mr. Smith goes to Washington" type.I fear with the cost and bias we will never have true leaders again.Anyone notice that most of our real leaders were in the army at one time?So when you elect a lawyer you get a self serving slimeball. Now if you elect a solder, you can get a man or women with honor who understand how to lead.So when we go to vote next time look for real serves to our nation,if he really stood in a real battle field.

- Despicable! The American people should have the power to fire all of them, immediately! if not sooner!

- I admit it! The Republicans have won! The Republicans have succeeded to throwing a monkey wrench in the whole government operation. Starting from Jan. 19, 2009, when Limbaugh said he hopes President Obama fails they have done everything to delay, deny and denigrate through a campaign of smokes and mirrors and fear, smear, and jeer that has confused, fooled and scared the American people. And in addition to fooling and scaring their base, they have made them enraged so they are motivated to vote again. They have created a false messaging meme that works.....Machivellian brilliant I must say. And you have caused many Democrats to become wimpy and spineless. Great job, Republicans - you have won, you are victorious, you have beaten the liberals. And Oh, by the way, you have taken the country down also but so what, you won.

- The attack is on the people these days. The taxpayers who are being called entitled by expecting their government to be their government and improve their lives through their taxes. The same oligarchical minds found in the British Empire rule the Global Non-Democratic corporate governments that lack a system of checks and balances from the people because their representatives in Washington don't represent them but rather take bribes from the Global non-democratic corporate governments and the few oligarchs at the top of the pyramid who benefit from these entities that are constructed as the anti-thesis of a government of the people.

- Americans need to condemn the Founding Fathers for rape, torture, murder, enslavement instead of teaching children a double standard by ignoring and minimizing the atrocities of the Founders in placing them on a pedestal as American Historical Icons.

- I was reading somewhere that close to 30% of Americans don't know that the US declared independence from Great Britain.

- Really? Some of these modern-day politicians give up their Mercedes', McMansions, and mistresses for the sake of patriotism? ...NOT!
