Obama will never be serious about the budget because that would require cuts to entitlement programs and he does not have the courage to make those cuts.

On Meet The Press, did David Gregory or other GOP Pundits ask Michelle Bachman about her 700 million Bridge to Nowhere, even though she advocates cutting spending? -- http://wonkroom.thinkprogress.org/2011/03/01/bachmann-bridge-nowhere/ --

OR

When she and other GOP tea partiers state, they want to create jobs, does the media ask, just what are their plans and proposals to do so? NO! But I guess saying No to any type of job stimulation creates jobs! PLEASE! How the media keeps letting them get away with this is criminal.

How the media keep letting GOP get away with statements like Obama is not serious about the debt, when GOP give away tax cuts to the rich and entitlements to Big Oil, which could save and generate billions of dollars.

This is not responsible Media reporting, it is irresponsible, but I guess the break down of Charlie Scheen is...

This is the United States of America not the Corporate States of America, A Government run by Billionares for billonares!

McConnell said, "I've had a number of conversations with people who count at the White House, and I think that so far I don't see the level of seriousness that we need."

Mitch McConnell...why don't you ask your fellow GOPhers about their
"level of seriousness" about cutting the budget?? Just this week the Repubs voted UNANIMOUSLY against a Democrat proposal to eliminate over $40 billion in taxpayer-funded subsidies to big oil companies...who do not need to be subsidized at all. They voted against this cut in order to protect their precious campaign contributions from big oil. You, nor they, care one iota about what's best for America as a whole...it's all about the GOP and their campaign coffers, and frankly it's despicable.

I would have a lot more sympathy with the Republicans if the hadn't blatantly played politics over the very necessary and promised middle income tax cuts. By saddling the bill with totally gratuitous extended tax relief for the very wealthiest they were making it a political no win for the Democrats regardless of what was best for American economy.

They would rather take a flamethrower over the country than allow the opposition political advantage.

Obummer isn't serious about the deficit. Why would he want to stop spending money he doesn't have. He wants the republicans to go first so he can say they want to take grannys social security away, then he can get elected. The guy is a bum

Note to the right - the left doesn't believe in huge cuts during a recession. It can slow an economy and it's dangerous. Your team's the one screaming about spending. Ignoring they did just a boatload of it themselves. If they want to cut spending then I can suggest the house, which they are a majority of, can come up with a plan. We'll look at it. It's past time for the GOP to do some real work. So far it seems their war on women seems to be taking up their most time.

So, Corndog, step up to the plate and propose something beyond robbing widows and orphans to cut for once. What fools listen to him I cannot imagine.

McConnell is right. With the GAO reporting that the federal government wastes 100s of billions of dollars in duplicate programs, a budget that cuts only $6 billion is absolutely ridiculous and irresponsible. We are more than $14 trillion in the hole, and the federal government is projected to add another $1.65 trillion in deficit spending this year.

This is insane! How long does the President and other Democrats think we can continue to operate like this? McConnell is absolutely correct in his assessment of the President's budget.
