- I don't understand why this is an ISSUE. IF a CHURCH is acting like a CHURCH, then who it employs must follow under the auspices of being a church & they are EXEMPTED from treating their employees in the issues of birth control.
THE MAIN ISSUE is a CHURCH that is ACTING not only as an EMPLOYER BUT an INSURER. We are saying that an INSURER has RESPONSIBILITIES to their insured to offer ALL SERVICES or at LEAST ACCESS to coverage for all SERVICES. IF an EMPLOYEE of a CHURCH wishes to PAY INSURANCE to be COVERED to be able to GET Birth Controll, then the INSURER by the very fact that they are an INSURER; needs to offer the services NO MATTER WHAT THEIR AFFILIATION.
THE most STUPID thing we ever did, was allow BUSINESSES to BECOME their OWN Insurance companies or to REPRESENT the insurance companies TO THEIR EMPLOYEES. Once the insurance as attached to the Business, be it BUTCHER or CHURCH, this is where the 1st amendment issue BLURS.
I don't CARE about the big hoo hah with church & STATE. THAT should be SEPARATE, but ALSO the separation between INSURER & BUSINESS/ or CHURCH should be SEPARATE too. We are simply saying that ALL INSURERS should be BOUND by FEDERAL LAW & STATE LAW, NOT that Churches or Businesses should be.
Be exempt as the CATHOLIC church BUT don't let Mitch McConnell or anyone else say that its the ONLY RELIGION in America because it certainly IS NO
We are not ONE RELIGION in this country & I will NOT be lumped into ONE church for the good of the Republicans.
If you, the church is going to insure ME, then I want the access to ALL services that I can get for the money that I PAY YOU for the access to insurance.

- Eric Kanter, what a nice piece of work. Handsome, good looking, we have seen it all before. The pretty boys, that pump fack and fool those of use that are superficial into thinking that he was elected to preside(dent). What branch of service did he serve in? Was his family with George Washington? Mine was. I do not remmember electing him to preside, or to play God. Moreover, he has do a ironically good job of flying under the radar till now for a so called man with such strong convictions. I want him to face the nation.

- Excellent idea, a one year term Congress. A better idea, hang the Congress if they don't get done, the job they were elected to do. Even better than that, let's start with the Presidency.

Oh yea, in the process of finding that earlier comment
Noticed something interesting about many other comments
They're all listed with different ID's
But seem to have a common 'tone/subject/viewpoint'
And sure 'read' like all were written by the same writer
Curious, yea ?

- Come on, Bob. Can't you do any better than Marty (Dumb and Dumber) O'Malley? He's a joke, whose only interest is screwing we poor Marylanders out of our money, and becoming a nationally recognized politician. And you are catering to him.

- Bob, you need to change the name of your show to FACE THE REPUBLICAN NATION. Of the 10 people on or "clipped" in your show this morning, 8 of them were REPUBLICANS. O'Mally and D.D. Myers were the only two Democrats that I saw. Figuring YOUR republican leaning or out right support of them, your program is pretty LOPSIDED...You are getting as bad a Fox News. What happened to FAIRNESS? All of your panels and guests are REPUBLICAN HEAVY...Aren't these news shows suppose to be about news, not rallies for the Republicans? Shame on you!

- Bob, you missed the mark. You don't understand that the educated majority of Republicans are interested in our economy and the deficit. Liz Cheney is right. Maybe she should guest host so we get off the muck raking and address the issues. Take your light fluffy journalism to daytime weekday TV and truly Face the Nation on Sunday.

- I totally agree with Liz Cheney. The media attempts to make political news entertaining instead of just reporting the issues.
with the vast viewing public - the media has too much power and needs to refrain from painting your own agendas on the what should be neutral reporting. For you to air a small segment of a speech - and comment on how strange the candidate looks - is not reporting, it's editorializing your own opinions.
For Bob to criticize Cain for the smoking ad and to make it personal oversteps his role as a reporter.
Please just do your job as a reporter and quit trying to change everyone's views to your own. - Reply to this comment
- Hey, Bob,
Help me understand.
As a Liberal, you belive that a 14-year-old girl can have an abortion at taxpayer expense without her parent's knowledge or consent, but are ADAMANT that she shouldn't smoke a cigarette.
Are you that dishonest or just that stupid? - Reply to this comment
