- Lindsay Graham is wrong when he says that the wealthy are the job creators via 'trickle down' and 'supply side' economics. The American consumers are the JOB CREATORS. Who buys the cars, shops in the malls visits Best Buy and Staples? It is the American Consumer. When the holiday season comes around the BIG QUESTION is 'will people be shopping?'If tax rates go up in 2013 the American consumer will have LESS to spend and jobs will be laid off! Get real!

- Just changed the channel after the Lindsey Graham interview. Mr. Shieffer grilled Geitner about not having entitlement reform in his plan. Agreed. Then Senator Lindsey Graham comes on. While questioning was at first strong, it tails off in the end. Move to the subject of Libya where Senator Graham is allowed to get on a soapbox to explain his views. What about the follow up question asking Senator Graham how he could approve Condoleeza Rice but not Susan Rice. Very similar situation. I'd like to hear Senator Graham's rationale. Changed the channel with the thought that John Stewart is one of the few people that can put politics and hypocrisy in context.

- today on the show and all through this election cycle when the topic of deal making and compromise is discussed, it centers around Obamas inability to accomplish it. The reason for it is not discussed, that elephant in the room, is ignored. In my current leadership position in a very conservative company, and others that i've held i've had to manage employees perceptions about my etnicity along with them not effectively using their job skills. At times they would not perform up to their abilities, obviously that affects the companies performance. Ownership took steps to address this . One was to reaffirm why we have a growing yearend bonus. Another was for me to give the plant tour to potential new hires. Hopefully when this discussion is the topic again on Face the Nation, have your panel, to at least look at the elephant, they do not have to touch it.

- An email has gone out to Mr. Schieffer from my husband and me regarding the upcoming Presidential debate and his role as moderator. Doubt he will see it, but.......We have asked him to consider asking a question about the United Nations, specifically-- 1. The UN taxing the use of the Internet, worldwide: Do the candidates favor the tax? 2. Should the US sign a treaty whereby we (the US) give up sovereignty of our coastal waters and all natural resources in them? There are other areas of US sovereignty on the block in this treaty. I would like to know more .

- Face the Nation gives the Obama campaign an open forum and has no equal time for a Romney spokesman??? I hope you don't expect people to believe this is anything like objective journalism. Biased as hell!

- UNBELIEVABLE!!! The interview for Ryan and then the White House adviser couldn't have been more of a commercial for Obama!!!! Should have had Obama 'approving' the interviews at the end. You busted up on Ryan like he didn't know what he was doing. 14 years in Congress compared to Obama's 2 years!!! Drove Mr. Ryan into the ground then NEGLECTED to ask the adviser why Obama has doubled our national debt or why he has NOT been able to get unemployment under 8% in the last 4 years. You just let him ramble on about the 'plan' they have to fix the economy they have not been able to fix so far. I thought large news outlets were suppose to be IMPARTIAL?! I guess CBS doesn't use legit journalists to do interviews.

- "what do you think of the campaign", "where is the campaign going", "what does the campaign need to do"
When is it going to get through to the news media, all news media, that these questions are as relevant as the color of the reporters socks. With an electorate that is getting dumber with every election, and numbed by all the propaganda, with politicians that have greater and greater disdain and contempt for the public, politicians that feel ever greater ability to lie with impunity, with wealthy special interests that fund politicians into servitude, it's more important then ever to have a really RELEVANT NEWS MEDIA.
This is a media that cover the RELEVANT ISUES: what does the politician say, what past actions PROVE that what he/she is saying is true or not, where does the politician get his money, what impact have those financial sources had on the politician's past and current actions...and to do this over and over.
No one makes a decision to hire an employee, buy a house, eat food based on how well the selling of the "product" was done but rather on the merits of the product it self, except the stupid and gullible. And here is how the new media and politicians together are making the American electorate the dumbest and most gullible on the planet.
Filling an hour of programming with nonsense is not really filling the hour with programming, rather with trash. Then it's time to turn the channel off.

- Bob Scheiffer selectively edits out Paul Ryan's responce to his question. We all know why. It was a good answer and we cannot have people hearing/seeing that, can we? Scheiffer you are a partisan hack and your ratings are going to go down because America doesn't like propaganda.

- Could you-all please instruct your guests--and staff, for that matter-- about how to behave like adult on TV? It is remarkably annoying to listen to two people talking over each other and becoming more shrill with each word. It is not helped when the show's interviewer ALSO interrupts and attempts to talk over the guests.
We already know the guests have different opinions (that's why they're there!), everyone can safely breathe and behave respectfully and maybe we viewers out here will begin to care about their points of view and not just think the whole lot of them should go away. - Reply to this comment
- Norah O'Donnell rocks! She exposes the untruths of the Republicans as professionally as Katie Couric exposed the ignorance of Palin. Norah makes the show much more interesting. Watching Bob Schieffer, however much I respect him, I feel he is just facilitating a Republican propaganda machine, letting them make their talking points without any discussion. Norah came well prepared and confronted Republicans with the truth. She was not afraid to question what Boehner e.a. said. It made the show much more lively and will attract more viewers.
