See, even people like Aaron Sorkin had a Survival Job!

That's why I started Survival Jobs for Actors .com to help actors find Survival Jobs. Thanks for telling your story, Aaron.

Oh yes, God forbid a conservative should have an opinion. Just call him evil, insane or stupid. Don't bother with an argument.

People like Sorkin equate an Ivy League education with goodness and rightness. Jimmy Carter was extremely intelligent, yet he was one of the country's worst presidents and wrong about most things, most relevantly today, Iran. There are plenty of ordinary Americans who are very intelligent and have a different perspective than the Sorkins of the world. They'd probably make just a good a president as many in the Harvard crowd.

Now, back to the topic. The inclusion of the Palin attack in this morning's report was gratuitous. Nothing would have been lost without that little detour from the main topic, engineered by the smirking Ms. Stahl. The segment would have been much tighter and better focused without it.

Does anyone else think it's ironic that Sorkin feels so passionately about "people who dramatize real life" and "glamorize dumbness"?
The Facebook team - and Mark Zuckerberg himself - said 'Social Network' (which Sorkin wrote) was less that 40% accurate, and that the only things in the film that actually happened in real life were the origin of facebook and the legal battle.

I am terrified of having a President less intelligent than me.

Too many right wingers ONLY want a President less intelligent than them.

Sorkin got over being an addict.

Palin will wake up tomorrow and still be stupid.

Aaron Sorkin was obviously asked a political question by Ms. Stahl and responded. He's not an office-holder, nor is he running for one, so his "crackhead left-wing liberal" past/present, isn't really an issue. People being interviewed are expected to answer questions, and he did. Some of you just didn't like his answer including Sarah Palin, but he's entitled to his opinion, as are the rest of us.

Sorkin was a highly intelligent person who had personal problems (like many*) and became a crackhead. (*e.g. like for instance, Bush and his drinking problem and the alleged cocaine use). Sorkin has been clean for ten years. Sarah Palin has never been considered highly intelligent. She's just a pretty face who calculates what to say with the intention of stirring up a segment of this country.

I can't believe all you "smart, intelligent" people can't see what Sorkin is doing by criticizing Palin. He's whoring for Oscar votes from Academy voters. He's trying to stage a triumphant comeback and prove that his best stuff wasn't all written when he was a bustout crackhead. Of course we don't really know that he's clean, do we.

Does anybody else enjoy the irony of the (name) tags of those who are critiquing Sorkin (and at least mildly defending Palin, usually while claiming not to be a fan)? Lots of 'gunmanxxx', 'topgun', and 'zealot' type self-labels. Gee . . . you think these darlin' folk might be affronted by Sorkin's comments?

Amen, Mr. Sorkin! Amen! I, too, have no patience with the glamorization of dumbness and see nothing wrong with wanting the brightest minds in the country leading it.
