May 29th Show, showcasing Rhode Island in the Almanac segment:
As a Rhode Islander how was raised there but born in South America, I love this state, it's where my children were born and the state that I call home. When I saw your piece was one of pride and I enjoyed your tutorial as well, but when you mentioned the notables and included that Richard Hatch of survivor was one of Rhode Island's famous people, could you not have researched a little deeper and mentioned Viola Davis, academy award nominee? She not only is a Rhode Islander, but has been a brighter persona then Richard could ever be. I know that Viola is a graduate of Central Fall High and that Central Falls is very proud to claim her as the girl that put the town's name on the map for her extraordinary talent.

Dear Sunday Morning "folks",

Just a note regarding the lack of memory on this Memorial Day. The last minute (40 seconds, usually) was dedicated to some wild horses somewhere. I feel it should have been of Paradise, California or some similar location, where they line the streets for miles with flags to honor our fallen heroes and loved ones.

The piece on the marble head stones was eye opening and a nice thing to see, as was the bit on women pilots. But, since this is the Weekend for remembering the-sacrifice-in-defense-of-our-country-and-way-of-life, today's program could have been a little more in the memories department. Though we do not live as we would, idealism and days set aside for such, is a good thing and something to strive toward.

I would encourage you to call the Paradise Chamber of Commerce and send a film crew -- local or not -- out on a holiday for file footage.

Sincerely,

VicTORIa Hinton -- Sunday Morning fan

PS could you Please talk to the people in the SF Bay area about airing the show a little later, like seven or eight a.m. instead of at six? I often times am barely able to get up to watch the last 30-40 seconds of peace without words.

pps did the original editor of that piece die or retire? they aren't as consistently as good as they once were. thanks, VH

The segment on The Villages was great! I loved the precision golf cart drill team! This will create even more buzz about the best and largest active adult community in the country. So why not check it out for yourself and "test drive" the lifestyle and a golf cart on the 90 miles of paths by renting a home and checking it out http://www.VillagesHomes4Rent.Com or check out our blog on http://www.Villageshomes4rent.Com/blog

What is the problem with these two sisters? Are you serious about insulting entire airline profession by making remark about red coat. First of all airline industry puts an affort to make flight attendants look good and professional. So what is that womens problem. I think her and her mother are jealous that they themselves could not become a flight attendant! I wish that one of her kids or grandkids became airline attendant one day. What she would say then?.It just proves she is so shellow!!!
I own a red coat and I love it. People, common lets focus on more important things not Red coat.

Uh, CBS? Why isn't Rob Lowe a registered sex offender? Is this what justice in America boils down to? Hollywood is untouchable? Time and again, whether it be drugs, underaged sex abuse, and so on. Here's an idea...why not have manditory random drug testing by their (equally guilty) employers? Thanks for making another scum into a hero.

I'm so glad some women admit they are so shallow, they have nothing else in this world to worry about than their clothing. These vane women have no clue what women have been fighting for regarding equal pay and breaking into male-dominated professions. These women need to wake up and do some soul searching. Find a calling. Take up a cause -like fighting breast cancer...and not wearing white after Labor Day.

I was haunted by one of the pictures in the story on Windows today (5/15/11)by Martha Teichner. Does anyone know the name of the picture by Matisse with a woman on the left side of the picture in front of a window?

Good Morning

I am wondering why your web site is not as updated as it used to be ? A few months ago, it was easy to see what CBS Sunday Morning had in store for us and since I have been watching from the beginning - a sunday ritual for my whole family - I would phone my relatives to tell them not to miss one item in particular...... but it has now been a while since this is not possible. This morning, even searching through cracks was unsuccessful !

Have there been budget cuts and the web site was the first to go ?

Please keep up your good work and if you could add your website to the task, it would be greatly appreciated.

(sorry for the incorrect english - I am French and not very familiar with written English)

Is it so hard to create a website that might actually be useful? I wanted to see what's "Up Next" on CBS' Sunday Morning. First, I get a CBS webpage with the Sunday Morning logo, but all the info contains many "timely" references to 2004! Then I get to this page, and there's NOTHING about the upcoming show! Maybe CBS doesn't want anyone to watch! Is this any indication of how the CBS Suits treated Cahrlie Sheen, too? ;-)
