- Arch Moore doesn't even campaign for his daughter Shelley Moore Capito, who is West Virginia's Tea Pot.

- Why isn't anyone investigating Gloria Allred to see how much she and/or Brown is paying the maid? Why is everything about the maid so hush-hush anymore? Why hasn't the maid been jailed and on the way to deportation? Is her husband an illegal too? They should both be deported and take their kids as our gift. If they leave them behind, make sure they are being subsidize by a relative not us, since both parents committed a crime, and she committed federal offenses. Gloria Allred said she wasn't taking this to court, something here is abusing the legal system, I don't understand how she can get by with this. Yes, Jerry Brown, letting lawlessness slip by because he benefited, business as usual. Brown and Allred, depending on the public forgetting about the maid in 3 weeks, especially 3 months. CBS has to get back to unbiased reporting on their shows.

- California is quickly becoming a failed state, doesn't matter who takes helm, different times.

- There is endless coverage of the illegal alien who lied, forged, and stole someone's identity to work here, with Gloria Allred coddling her, and painting Meg Whitman as the lawbreaker. Where is the coverage of Jerry Brown calling Meg Whitman a *****? Anyone who has cable and doesn't turn to the fox channel will only get one side of the story. How anyone even considers voting without getting both sides of an issue is beyond me.

- Gee CBS, where is the article about Brown calling Whitman a *****?? Women of California, if you don't take this as a personal insult, than you deserve him.

- Jerry Brown gets my vote in a heartbeat. God help us if failed vulture capitalist Whitman gets the seat. How many half-baked GOP stooges will Californians have to put up with in the statehouse before we get a real one again, and the last real one was Gray Davis, Brown's former lieutentant gov and protege. The last great gov we had was Jerry, and the last before him was his father Pat, before my time but still fondly remembered.

- As a third generaltion Californian, I would never under any circumstances vote for Jerry Brown! How DARE he refuse to represent the voters of this state in defending our vote on Prop 8? How DARE he rewrite the title of that proposed amendment in negative phrasing - only the second time in over 50 years ANYONE had rewritten a title in that way - in order to intentionally confuse the voters? As Attorney General, it was his job to defend the state against the attack against Prop 8. Do you really want someone who thinks he can pick and choose the parts of his job he gets to do as Governor? I sure don't. I don't see him going after the Acorn clones either! No way should he EVER be elected Governor. No thank you. Meg Whitman has my vote.

- This article really goes the wrong direction. Why not write an article about failed CEO's entering politics?
For openers, both President Bush and Dick Cheney were failed CEO's. Bush wrecked Harkens Oil (cheating investors out of millions of dollars). Cheney wrecked Halliburton.
GOP Senatorial candidate Carly Fiorina got fired as CEO of Hewlitt Packard. She off-shored thousands of American jobs. When HP taked, and when she got fired, thousands of HP workers lost their jobs so that Carly Fiorina could get a $143,000,000 severance package. But remember Carly's sacred words, "A job is NOT a God-given American right." She will continue living by that philosophy if she wins California's Senate seat.
Meg Whitman is also a failed CEO. In 2008, eBay fired Whitman after the value of eBay stocked tanked by 49% from 2004 to 2008. She also fired about 20,000 employees so she could pocket $ 100,000,000 in pay raises.
From California, to Wisconsin, to West Virigina, the GOP is running failed and greedy CEO's. They plan to keep all the tax breaks for the rich. They want to eliminate unemployment insurance and minimum wage laws. To balance the budget, they will shut down social security and medicare, using that money to pay off the national debt.
Worse, all these GOP candidates are getting support from foreign campaign contributors, a direct violation of our election laws. The US. Chamber of Commerce is laundering money from foreign campaign contributors, from arab oil barons to Russian banks. (And they're lying about it.) Why doesn't CBS cover those stories?
Basically if the GOP wins, working class Americans will lose big time. - Reply to this comment
- I am not a fan of Jerry Brown, but Meg Whitman is a liar and a crook. She got fired as CEO of eBay in 2008. From 2004 until 2008, eBay's stock lost 49% of its value. She laid off 20,000 workers so she could get a pay raise, and even as eBay's stock was tanking, she kept giving herself raises.
In addition, she's lying about undocumented immigrants. She not only hired an undocumented immigrant as a nanny, but I would not at all be surprised if she hire undocumented immigrants as the custodians and parking lot attendants while she was CEO of eBay, (via contractors and sub-contractors.) This same rule applies to Republican fundraising banquets and also to Hewlitt Packard when Carly Fiorina was CEO. (She also got fired.)
Meg Whitman is running for governor of California for only one reason - herself. - Reply to this comment
