- I don't like the idea of same sex couples being considered married because it's not what nature intended.

- This is so absurd, is the marriage of your heterosexual couple so weak and so insecure that it would be diminished by the marriage of two men or two women. There are some reasons to oppose same sex marriage but this for sure is not one of them it is just a silly statement and shows these people can't think of any logical reason so this is how they try to hide their prejudice.

Republicans are always about social issues because they don't have any REAL answers on how fix the economy, jobs, or anything else. So they rile up the religous base by invoking religious mumbo-jumbo (courtesy of the diabolical Karl Rove). They've run on the god ticket for way too long. It's time to shut down the Hallelujah Hucksters, and tell them to put up or shut up. No more pretend religious scheming. Women having abortions, gays getting married, is not what's wrong with America, it's corruption and greed. Will keeping a woman from having an abortion fatten your paycheck? - same sex should not be allowed marriage simply because they can't procreate. it's simple biology. certainly support same sex civil unions that give them rights for inheritance, insurance, etc. opposition against same sex marriage is based simply on biology. am not a religous type, nor a right winger.
