Historians, Journalists, Bush Aides Discuss How They Believe The 43rd President Will Be Judged
- "...Yes, we will be deceased before the real truth is printed. N H" Posted by Nohypocrisy1
The truth has already been printed, videotaped, and recorded for posterity, WMD lies, unnecessary wars, failure to capture his declared "enemy", corporate corruption, abrogation of the rule of domestic and international law, exhortation to intolerance, ignorance of ecological crisis, ignorance of economic crisis, treason, crimes against humanity, torture, kidnapping, it is all out there, by his own decree, spewed from his own mouth, and the mouths of his co-conspirators. - Reply to this comment
- I especially like how he just sat back and let Enron extort money from California and then rob their investors. I really like how his approach to the energy crisis was to just promote the same old status quo. I also like how his supporters will never hold him responsible for not paying attention to warning before 9/11.

- Its a good thing that most of the speculators on this forum are not involved in the authoring of this. They''d skewer this so far off the field of accuracy that nobody could trust any history books. I get a kick out of some of the associations being made on here too. Those are really comical.

- Bin Laden''s goal is to bankrupt us. Part of Bush''s legacy will be the great efficiency Bush showed in helping Bin Laden in his wish to bankrupt us. Bush really gave Bin Laden no incentive in attacking us again since 9-11. Why attack your enemy when he''s already doing what you want him to do?

- We definitely should grade him on how safe he has kept America. Did the largest terrorist attack on the U.S. occur on his watch? Yes. Was he warned about the threat from Clinton''s staff and Richard Clarke that terrorism and Bin Laden were his biggest things to worry about? Yes. Did Bush head to Crawford to watch his dog chase armadillos after getting that Bin Laden PDB? Yes. We should grade Bush on how safe he has kept us by counting the total number of Americans killed from terrorism (including 9-11) and from unnecessary wars that were horribly bungled through bad planning. I''d say that Clinton kept us way safer. And, for Cons that like to use the technicality of terrorist attacks against our foreign embassies by referring to those attacks as being on our soil, remember, that the U.S. embassy in the Baghdad Green Zone is on our soil and it''s been attacked hundreds of times from mortars over the past few years.

- "May look very different in 50 years, if there''s democracy, more stability..."
Won''t change the fact that it was the wrong time to invade Iraq. Besides, the only way there will ever be stability and freedom anywhere in the Mid-East is if the entire Islamic world suddenly converts to some other religion where death, destruction, and the killing of "infidels" are not among the principle tenants.
On the idea of having no attacks on American soil since 9/11, I beg to differ. There have been several attacks on Americans in America by Muslims and Muslim sympathizers; however authorities have been careful not to call these terrorist attacks. - Reply to this comment
- It''s obvious this was a president who seized the opportunity 9/11 presented him.
Invade Iraq, avenge his DAD and make a fortune for his cronies, all at the same time!!
And helped by the Israeli lobby, this was a match made in HEAVEN!
9/11 was a windfall for republicans across the board.
Rudy Giuliani became a wealthy man.
Cheney''s company Halliburton''s stock went through the roof.
And Lieberman''s country Israel got rid of an old enemy.
Guess who''s left holding the bag?
Ye Olde American Taxpayers!!!
$3 TRILLION SPENT IN IRAQ ALONE!
And 4200 DEAD AMERICAN SOLDIERS WITH THEIR LIVES!

- This is typical of lib Bush-haters, to rush to judgement. To say , as one "historian" did, Bush did nothing positive, is to only reveal the bias and ignorance of his lib political leanings. Bush will not go down in history as the best president, but will be a good one, once the lib hypocrits are out of the way and objectivity, and professionalism, are the basis of judgement. He was a person of principle, who did not, until the last quarter, bend to the will of the press and political pressures. He will be judged poorly for the money giveaway based upon this artificially generated economic situation. Yes, we will be deceased before the real truth is printed. N H

- Bush''s legacy?
Let''s let the Holy Scriptures tell it like it is:
Proverbs 6:16-19
[16]There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him: [17]haughty eyes (The DECIDER), a lying tongue (935 LIES), and hands that shed innocent blood (4200 DEAD AMERICANS), [18]a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, [19]a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
The Decider.
935 Lies.
4200 Dead Americans.

It is time to look to the future. How will Obama do? No better that Bush, I would guess. He has far less experience than Bush had entering office, and has already made some rather big bone-headed mistakes. We may be entering an era far worse than we have had under Bush.

LOL! Funniest one I''ve heard all week.
Bush experienced? Hahahaha... funny.
Bush is by far the WORST president we''ve had.
God**** thug! Good RIDDANCE!
I agree with the big bone-headed mistakes:
Keeping Lieberman around, and giving republican pukes the time of day! - Reply to this comment
- The only thing I would like to know is why we invaded
Iraq instead of going after Osama Bin Laden.
I think that''s the most important question.
Osama was a Saudi form Saudi Arabia what did Iraq have to do with him? NOTHING! It has never been answered. - Reply to this comment
- Bush no more "gave us 9/11" than Clinton "gave us" the first terrorist attack on the WTC.
You pathological Bush-haters come across as dumb as a sack of rocks.
Posted by gctomajtom at 09:58 PM : Jan 11, 2009...............The 911 investigation was a scam. based on lies....if 911 happened like Bush said.....why can they not show a single video of a 757 hitting the pentagon? they have more security cameras than you can count on that building...but no video...why? because it didnt happen like that and they know it.. so how much more was lies? Just like the lies of why Three steel beam structures fall into their own footprints on the same day from what the investigation says was caused by fire....wrong answer,,,not possible ..by proven physics.....too many lies to believe any of it. - Reply to this comment
- Bush gave us 911 and we the people paid for it and still are...and congress went right along...because war meant big no restriction money ...for everyone...both parties lined up lobbyists and legislators had blood money on their hands....and now the assault has begun economically,,,,,, and the same congress is now selling out the people by giving billions away to Wall st. as fast as they can....never doing what they said they needed the money for in the first place........Bush and everyone in his close administration should be tried for war crimes,,,,, and congress should be brought up on charges of treason. They are trying to eliminate the middle class and we must act as American patriots and take our country back from these white collar ,suit and tie terrorists.

- George Bush the spoiled rich kid is a very unusual read. One of those guys that plays at doing lots of things, but is not any good at any of them. It is eerie how this all came together. It is my theory that the events of the last 8 years required a figurehead as president that could be easily manipulated. To the real evil dudes who have planned this for years, George was a gift from heaven. I think that is why Cheney is running around lying that he had zero influence on George.
I believe history will prove me correct in the fact that most men who reach the level of president of this country are independent thinkers. The reaction of George in that classroom on 9/11/01 was not a independent thinker. It was the reaction of a man playing a game waiting for someone to tell him what he was supposed to do next.
I can''t help but think that a real smart clever president in that same time frame from 2001 to 2009 would be extremely dangerous to those that planned the total destruction of the United States. Yet you can all watch as the real criminals retire to their wealth, or in some cases continue their evil plan. Now of course George now gets to play rich guy with real expensive house in a rich neighborhood of BIG-D. Chances are they have a ordnance against chainsaws. - Reply to this comment
