Check out local meat and produce. I have found it is now cheaper to shop from the local suppliers than it is to shop from the supermarket. For ground beef alone it''s almost $1 per pound less expensive from the local butcher. The supermarket suppliers have raised their prices and keep doing so despite the cost of fuel coming down. They have become greedy crooks just like all the rest.

I know how you feel, HETUP. I make one big pot of something and then I take it to work for lunch and then I have it again for dinner. That one pot has to last me all week long. This week it is a pound and a half of ground beef ($4.00) mixed with a box of Dirty Rice Mix (family size, $2.28). But I am thankful that I can even have that. I know there are lots of people in this world that aren''t even that lucky. Isn''t it sad that I now make in a week what my husband and I used to make combined, and I can''t hardly afford to feed just myself (I am widowed). Hopefully something will give for all of us soon.

How can anyone afford to go out to eat or wow, have home delivery?

People are so busy these days that eating out is almost as cheap as home cooking, especially if you consider the time it takes to cook and clean up.

I can afford potatoes, onions, carrots, broccoli, and bullion cubes. I have coffee for breakfast, soup for lunch and dinner. It''''s getting really tiresome but I still have a home and a job. How can anyone afford to go out to eat or wow, have home delivery? Can I get a bailout too? If I need healthcare, I have already prepared for it, it''''s called a "Will". This country sucks.

spoiled! Do some reasearch and be glad for what we have. It''s about 100 times better than anywhere else.

If you don''t like it move!
