Obama_Dkhed, You know what, I''ve addressed you with a measure of respect, but you are a disgusting, vile man. Find someone else to badger. I for one will not recognize your posts any more, and am reporting the last. Grow up.

cdfoxtrot5, Is that what "trickle down" means. I''ve always been so confused how making rich people richer and mega corporations (the one''s who brought us Enron and "subprime" predatory lending) is going to help the middle class and poor.

I fly a flag, cheat on my taxes, listen to sleazy radio talk shows which ridicule and lie about those in the other party, and, most importantly, I blindly follow their advice and agree 100% of the time..

Also, I ridicule enviros who care about air, wildlife, and water quality...

Obviously, this is a parody of some conservative''s views of patriotism. I would define it thusly. Patriotism is "My country, to support when right, and to correct when wrong". This is opposed to the conservative patriotism of, "My country, right or wrong".

Unlike many conservatives, I am burdened by the realization that America could be so much better than it is, both at home and in our foreign policies. So, to them, that makes me un-American because I see our faults.

I doubt I will ever see eye to eye with anyone who voted for Bush/Cheney twice and doesn''t regret it.

doug - your are the poster child for smug liberals. If you can''t make someone see things your way, you attack them for being racist. Here''s a news flash for you. It is absolutely possible to dislike Barack Obama for his views. So quit playing the race card. It''s just plain juvenile.

Obama_Dkhed, Listen, my friend. You are about the fourth or fifth white blogger I know of who tried to change colors. Personally, I am inclined to believe a Republican who tells me he is black while selling out his people, but you gotta trust me on this one. I know the difference. Sell it somewhere else. I love you. Your passionate about your views, especially in calling all of us every name in the book (or at least all the names that Steve Schmidt put in Sarah Palin''s mouth), but you ain''t no African-American.

Xlib - Obama never, ever said he disagreed with the Constitution. You need to look behind the hyperbole. Obama said the Constitution as written needed changes to recognize blacks as people entitled to rights. Nothing more. Try to get the news from somewhere other than Rush or O''Reilly.

Obama_Dkhed, Take it easy. Everything is going to be okay. Obama is not the devil incarnate. The world is not going to come to an end November 5. He''''s not going to kill all the white people. You will still have your consitutional right to be a racist, as long as you do not do harm to others. He''''s a sitting U.S. Senaotr, you know. He''''s been on the scene for a long time now. I know a woman in her nineties who has followed him closely since he was a state senator. A lot of good and really decent people not only like him, they admire him. Yes, I know he''''s black, but that doesn''''t mean the country is going to come to an end if we elect him president. Really. Relax. Breath. Life is good.

Sprucely, I did! I can look you straight in the eye and tell you I voted Republican in the last two elections. Do not lose faith in us. We are just misguided true believers. We CAN change. I am living testimony to that fact.

notfooled, Welcome friend. It''s good to not be fooled. Hey Obama_Dkhed, posting the same thing over and over aagain is really tiring. If you can''t calm down, you should really consider leaving the thread becasue I for one will be here until it dies, which I predict will be about 3:00 AM tomorrow. I don''t think blogging is good for your health. Neither is hating.

But real Americans know fascism when they see it.

Agreed! The USA has been a Fascist nation since 1980. And now that there are a new set of voters known as patriotic college and university students, 90% of whom plan to vote this week, 65% for Obama, 30% for McCain, America can finally move into the future with its head held high, instead of living in the divisive fascism of the past 28 years brought to US by the Republicon Party.
