Could Attitudes On Skin Color, Not Issues Still Decide The Presidential Contest? Experts Debate What Voters May Truly Feel
- Who is the real Sarah Palin?
Why doe she refuse to answer any questions regarding her close ties and collaboration with known terrorists?
-Why did Sarah Palin and her husband Todd pal around with known anti-American terrorist Joe Vogler? Joe Vogler is the founder of the anti-American terrorist group, the Alaskan Independence Party. Sarah Palin and her husband have been members of the terroristic Alaskan Independent Party for nearly two decades. The (AIP) has repeatedly called for the murder of all American citizens and the total destruction of the United States of America. The (AIP) has claimed responsibility for numerous bombings of government buildings in Alaska dating all the way back to the 1970%u2019s. Joe Vogler first introduced Sarah Palin to politics and was widely regarded as her mentor and closest confidante until his death. In a 1991 interview currently housed at the Oral History Program in the Rasmuson Library at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, Vogler is recorded as saying "The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government. And I won''t be buried under their *** flag. I''ll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home." Sarah Palin is a terrorist sympathizer who condones the murder of innocent civilians.

- You either believe in equality or not. Where are you coming from when all you can do is denegrate someone because of their race? Read what you are writing and let it sink in. Is this really who you are?

- Why did you only address issues about white people who might or might not vote for Obama. It was not addressed about the black people who will vote for Obama just because he''s black. In Norfolk, VA''s local news, they interviewed a 94 year old black woman who had never voted before. She said she registered just so she could vote for Obama. How many other black folks out there feel the same way. It''s not about the issues but color! Please do a story about this, too.

- Thank God most Americans are not as full of discrimination as some of the contributors to this board,
or CBS would actually be right.
In fact, tricky CBS is trying to scare all fence-sitters into thinking that''s the case. - Reply to this comment
- I am not voting for hussein osama-obama because he is a muslim. I am not voting for hussein osama-obama because he is a socialist. I am not voting for hussein osama-obama because he is inexperienced. I am not voting for hussein osama-obama because he is backed by louis farakan (spelling?). I am not voting for hussein osama-obame because of rev. wright and many other of his questionable associates. Call me what you want lazy liberals. I am not voting for him and, you can''t make me.

- Talk about dumb... check this out about Palin''s reaction to Troopergate.
"However, the report found that Palin, her husband Todd, and her subordinates used pressure and intimidation to try to force the firing of Michael Wooten, beginning before her swearing-in ceremony took place, and therefore broke the law.
The investigation said she violated Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act, which states, "%u2026 each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust."
In a brief conference call with press reported by the Anchorage Daily News, Palin said, "I%u2019m very, very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing %u2026 any hint of any kind of unethical activity there. Very pleased to be cleared of any of that."
What part of "broke the law" doesn''t Palin understand?

"We need to keep this discussion on the real issue. It is not about race it is about ideology. Redistribution of wealth does not work. Show me one socialist government or a communist government whose people did not ultimately ended up getting less than what they were promised. America listen closely this week. Do you want to be a communist state??? IF SO I WILL SEE YOU ALL IN THE FOOD LINES...."

This is not about absolutes. There is PLENTY of room for compromise. Almost anything would be better than what we have now.
If the top 5% earners pay 30% of taxes, they should not get 80% of the refunds.
Talk about redistribution of wealth... is it any wonder why the rich are getting richer and the middle class is shrinking?- Reply to this comment
- You don''t really think those McCain supporter believe that Obama is a "terrorist" do you, voicing all those lies about him is how they express their racism without saying something racist. They say that they won''t vote for him because he''s a Muslim or un-American but in reality they know those are untrue and just use those lies as a excuse.

You have made your judgement and I respect your P.O.V. I merely intended to make sure you were thinking and not just reacting. I have not formed a concrete judgement yet and am sifting all options.
Hava a nice day also - Reply to this comment
- The question that WASN''t asked is: How many voters will vote for Obama SIMPLY BECAUSE he is black, without regard to issues, character, or any other factor. It''s the flipside of the question as to whether people WON''T vote for him because he''s black. That was covered in the story. But I live in the city, in a swing state, and I see plenty of people whose only reason for supporting Obama is "he''s a brother - you gotta vote for him." This should be taken up by the media and the pollsters.

If you had not said "private" there would have been no problem. You ''inferred'' that this was a ''public'' chat room - Reply to this comment
- Toolmangler,
I see you addressed me and I''ll answer you. It''s like a "guarantee". In business, a "guarantee" is only as good as the word of the man or person or business that gives the guarantee. That is determined by his character.
The platform of Obama is a "guarantee". It''s only as good as the word of Obama - and how good his word is is determined by his character.
So, that is why I look to a man''s background, associations, voting record, what he''s done, ideology, etc. to determine if I will believe his "guarantee" - his platform.
I have looked at Obama''s background, associations, voting record, what he''s done, ideology, etc.
I will not look at his platform. I personally will not believe one word that comes out of his mouth. I have formed my estimation of his character.
I''m sorry. I believe I know his character. I studied what I believe was most pertinent.
It''s not because he''s black. It''s the content of his character which turns my vote away.
Have a great day. - Reply to this comment
- I wish you all the best. People can only respond to whatever it is they personally see. Many people see in Obama what it is they hope for. I think we need to see Obama for who he is... ot what we hope for.
A certain idealism has to give way to realism.
We need to know the reality of Obama - not the idealistic vision of what we hope he means to us individually.
People will always let us down. God will never let us down. God is better than we can see or know. God was there for MLK, and God will be with us at all times.
I have a story. I was a little girl - a little "white girl" and I visited a cemetary. I saw a placard that said "Unknown ***". That''s what it said. He died in the 1960''s and was memorialized with that placard. I will support Affirmative Action for at least 20 more years. Seeing that - changed me. It was total contempt for a person''s humanity and the brotherhood of man. MLK''s dream speech has become my answer to the sinking of my heart in such inhumanity to man that I witnessed towards that man that day - dishonored in death. It was awful. But it''s no reason to swing the other way... and embrace Malcolm X or anyone like him. It''s better to stand with MLK, imo, and with those who stand with him without moving to the left, imo.
No matter what happens - we are all God''s children.
Have a great day. - Reply to this comment

Have you been to the Obama website to see what he has in his platorm? When I was a child, I believed in GOD as a child. I have not been a child for more than 60 years. I now believe in GOD as a man and see him with an open mind. I can''t read Obamas mind and I know that I do not want 4 more years like the last eight so I will continue to watch and learn right up to election time then I will vote with my mind focused on what is best for this country. - Reply to this comment
- Okay.. Intellectual how about if you come from a country that was socialist and actually really lived it and not just read about it. America does not know what is like to stand in line for food... See you there with your book....

- I hate it when people who don''t know me call me racist! If you want racist, look at all of the Bigoted stereotyping of "white people" in Obama''s boo, or look at all of the racist things Obama''s mentor The Rev Wrong said. Or, look at all of the African Americans voting for Obama because of his race. Now THAT''S racism.
