IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE SECOND AMENDMENT???

WRITE AN AMENDMENT TO REPEAL IT AND CHANGE IT TO WHAT YOU WANT IT TO SAY,,,

THEN EVERY STATE WILL VOTE ON IT,,, YES OR NO,,,

THAT IS THE WAY THE CONSTITUTION OF THE COUNTRY WORKS,,,

NOT BY APPOINTING BS JUSTICES

THAT TWIST THE MEANING OF THE WORDS TO WHAT THEY WANT IT TO SAY,,,

GOT IT

"The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able might have a gun." -Patrick Henry

"Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace." -James Madison

"The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed." -Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist Papers at 184-8.

"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government." -George Washington

"Today we need a nation of minute men; citizens who are not only prepared to take up arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as a basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom. The cause of liberty, the cause of American, cannot succeed with any lesser effort."-- President John F. Kennedy, January 29, 1961

The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation ... (where) the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms." -James Madison, Federalist Paper No. 46.

"If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is no recourse left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all forms of positive government." -Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Paper No. 28.

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -Thomas Jefferson, Proposed Virginia Constitution, 1776, Jefferson Papers 344

"The constitution of the United States asserts that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed and that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom of property, and freedom of press." -Thomas Jefferson

WE HAVE DEFEATED FASCIST NAZI TERRORISLAM BEFORE,,,

AND WILL AGAIN,,,

after america became a country,,, fascist nazi terrorislam demanded that america pay protection money or they would attack americas ships and enslave all on board,,,

thomas jefferson and james madison was having non of that,,, and they sent americas military to kick fascist nazi terrorislams arses in barbary war one and barbary war two,,, why two wars,,, fascist nazi terrorislamists break treaties,,, sound familiar??? can you say iraq,,,

It is a settled policy of America, that as peace is better than war, war is better than tribute. The United States, while they wish for war with no nation, will buy peace with none. President James Madison

IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN LEGAL FOR INDIVIDUALS TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS IN AMERICA,,,

it is obvious to the most casual observer

that the second amendment does grant the PEOPLE the right to keep and bear arms,,,

had it not,,, the government would have collected all the guns that did not belong to the malitia in dec 1791,,, THEY DID NOT,,,

Amendment 2 - Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

GOT IT,,,

The Supreme Court has spoken. Now that should end the fear that the government might come some day and take the guns away. So now it''s time to register guns and gun owners. If someone wants to buy and own a gun, there is no reason not to require them to be registered. The Supreme Court has also said that it''s constitutional to require voters to have official identification in order to vote. Owning a gun cannot be considered a greater right than voting in this country.

In a battle of wits you resort to mirepresentation and name calling and purposeful misquoting of quotes you must have dreamed up in one of your LSD koolaid journey''s.

That you''re incapable of intelligent discourse reveals itself more thoroughly with your every post.

Have mamma put you to bed now.

jim jones was a demonic-rat,,, and that is why GOPers tell the demonic-rats not to drink the koolaid,,, LOL

got it

Jones Captivated S.F.''s Liberal Elite

They were late to discover how cunningly he curried favor

With these willing workers, Jones made himself the perfect gift for the liberal machine of U.S. Representatives Phillip and John Burton, Assemblyman Willie Brown and Mayor George Moscone, which was trying to consolidate its hold on San Francisco politics.

The turning point in Jones'' drive for power came in 1975, according to Tim Reiterman''s and John Jacobs'' exhaustive study, ``Raven: The Untold Story of the Rev. Jim Jones and his People.'''' Jones'' army of volunteers saturated San Francisco neighborhoods, distributing slate cards for Moscone (running for mayor), Joseph Freitas (district attorney) and Richard Hongisto (sheriff). All three won.

``What you had here was a ready-made volunteer workforce,'''' said Agar Jaicks, who was chairman of the county Democratic Central Committee, the governing body of the Democratic Party in San Francisco. ``And you also had in Jones a man who touched a component of the consensus power forces in the city, such as labor and ethnicity groups, and he was very strong in the Western Addition. So here was a guy who could provide workers for causes progressives cared about.''''
