This material is called UBM (urinary bladder matrix. There are 12 patents on the material. It is made by a company called ACell, Inc. They have a website where you can see more info. www.acell.com

Just FYI, the very tip of a finger and nail can usually grow back on it''s own over time- IF there is a portion of the nailbed still there and the bone is mostly intact, it will never be as it was though, and may or may not have sensation.
