"Marriage is a religious institution."
Many ceremonies begin this way.
It is true - marriage is a religious institution.
Get the government out of the marriage business.
Our government has no more business overseeing marriages than they do writing the rules for baptism.

I''ve had a theory for years, that the 7 year itch occurs at that time because at 7 years all the new appliances break down one a a time. Men don''t look for younger women - they just look for women with newer refrigerators, wahing machines, vacumn cleaners, etc...

I also have been telling people for years that all the kissy, kissy couples we ever knew are divorced.

I''ve been married for 38 years this summer. Who would want to do this again??????

I find this report to be sexist and insulting. What about those individuals that stay together for years without marriage. Marriage is an insitution that is dying. There is no need for individuals to have their union blessed by some third party.
