Could Craig have won his case - probably. Get in the wayback machine, strip down to a single face and say "Bill and OJ won their cases, leave them alone!" Oh yeah, but Craig did not win his - he pled guilty.

Go Ben! Did any of you listen to the tape. No matter what Senator Craig said the cop called him a liar. Apparently, this cop was pissed because no one had hit on him that day. He was tired of being ignored or not found attractivfe enough to be hit on. Maybe all of you should be questioning his tactics. Maybe the real pervert is sitting in the bathroom stalls all day waiting for someone to meet his needs!!! And I do not mean the Senator. We have gangs wars, terrorists, killers and rapists running rampart on out streets and we paying someone to sit in the bathroom, hoping to get to hit on. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Craig could have fought this out in court. He chose not to. He thought he would stay under the press radar. Mr. Craig has probably been a closet homosexual all his life. Most people condemned Craig because he is a hypocrite. He thought he could
hide his other life by being anti gay. Yes the Republicans did throw Craig to the wolves. The unethical part is a joke. I did not see the members of Congress, caught selling their votes, being accused of being unethical.

Don''t let your political views skew your common sense. It''s not Stalinist to curtail lewd behavior in public places so that the rest of us who may happen to walk in with our six year old son don''t have to hear two men grunting and groaning- disgusting. Those who don''t think that was what was happening are naive. Stein just gives the skeleton story. Do you really believe this cop just pounced on the first guy to tap his foot? Please...no way this guy pleads guilty if he''s not. No way this guy gets arrested if the intent was not clear. I''m glad the police use these stings.....I love my freedoms, I also don''t want to live in an anything goes society.

"Shame on the GOP leadership, and utter disgrace to the airport police and their thug behavior.
These are security people in airports. Hello! An airport? Don''t they have anything better to do?"

Shame on Ben Stein for making a statement like that! Stein is an utter disgrace to American democracy.

"Don''t they have anything better to do?" Hello? They were doing what they get paid to do.

Too bad you, Stein, don''t have more respect for people who work for a living and actually do their jobs.

Thanks for the one response. However, I''m looking for more broad feedback. If you were sitting in a public bathroom stall, would you pick loose toilet paper up off of the ground?

Er, no.

As usual, Stein defends the undefendable.

The sequence of actions that signals or solicits a desire for homosexual *** from a stranger in a mens room is elaborate and highly specific.

There is no room for accident or misunderstanding, by design; who want''s to come face to face with someone in that context only to learn that they don''t want what you want? Violence happens that way all the time. The process has built in error checking.

The police were there for weeks prior, and nailed numerous other publicly lewd individuals. One of them happened to be Mr. Craig.

He plead GUILTY, before flip-flopping and denying his actions.

END. OF. STORY.

All else is spin.
