Ok, that was me in the piece....taking 6 different meds for "ailments they say I have "...so now what do I do.......do I really need to take all these meds??

The fact that Americans demand a drug to be their universal panacea is not an advertising issue or even a medical one. Ask ourselves, why do Americans want a drug to alter their status in reality? I think the answer is simple: it's a spiritual issue. The human condition naturally inclines us to seek happiness and the many religious traditions there are, which our society has rejected across the board, tells us where to find it, however, we seek it chemically. Happiness becomes just another consumer product for us to purchase and when there is a better drug, we go after that one.
