- From a neurologists point of view, Mike's brain has been through hell and by some miracle come out the other side, although battered, still functioning better than ever. One caution I would give all brain traumatized sports figures is test for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and treat faithfully when positive. Untreated OSA leads to dementia and many other medical problems that could be avoided.

- In the many years I have been watching Sunday Morning this is the first time you have wasted my time with a story that was not worthy of your outstanding show. Mike Tyson has no business being on the news, or on display anywhere else in the public eye. A thug who treats women, and real athletes like Tyson has, does not deserve the time of my day. Pigeons? I think your producer was the real pigeon.

- I would've liked the full video segment rather than small clip excerpts. Have a few people I would've sent the link to. CBSNews, can you post it?
Mike said a couple of things that were really quite profound. Recognizing his addiction to chaos--I know people like this; in his own words, "killing his ego" and trying to change his own selfish and self-centered perceptions and behaviors.
He came across as honest. He said he wasn't even absolutely sure if he's just fooling himself now, but hopes his current outlook will last. I'm not sure either but especially for his children's sake, I wish Mike good fortune and Godspeed. We are all a work in progress. - Reply to this comment

- Some TV producer spent a lot of money on Tyson's show about his pigeons, so the news is apparently trying to help sell Tyson as a believable, soft, sensative guy. He is a convicted rapist, a boxer who once bit off a man's ear, and a tough guy who used to bully his way around everywhere he went, thanks to the thugs in his entourage. Whoever Tyson has become is no longer of interest to the American public, but he apparently needs the money from the TV show.

- Wish I had a bird for a best friend. Oh, wait. I do! A bird in the female sense, I mean.
