If he was so terrible, why did they re-elect him in '84?

Same way Bush got elected in 04. We will see what happens in 12. - Reply to this comment
- He got the Israel and Egypt together in Camp David. I would hardly call that weak.

- I think I am probably alone in thinking that Reagan was a terrible president.
It seems to me that he was the beginning of the end- a true blank check president. He really liked to spend money on the Military Industrial Complex and not America.(or it only benefited a small portion of America)
And yet he wanted this hugely expensive luxury item all while cutting his income to pay for it. The first President to really start running big defecits. He is also the first time I heard trickle down economics. Trickle down is just taking a leak down the backs of the working class.
He seemed like the beginning of the end. - Reply to this comment
- I wonder how many people died because of Reagan's attacks on OSHA. One doctor wrote an article describing his administration as a sustained attack on the health and safety of the American worker.

- @Mortarman429... Do you hear a lot of auditory gurgling and sucking sounds while having that appendage that's attached to your shoulders neatly tucked twixt your excretory mounds? Is it a like father like son thing? I so enjoy sparring with the challenged even if it IS unfair. I just know you won't disappoint...will you?... Come. Let's play.

- I remember that day. Didn't worry one bit about his health. In order to die from a shot to the heart, you first have to have one. A shot to the head would likely have missed his brain. Again, not there.

- I'm not surprised to see the liberals here celebrating his death - the very same crowd that attacked Palin for "inciting violence" and being "uncivil".

- How did CBS forget the "friendship" between the Bush Family and John Hinckley?
In my opinion, it's impossible to "stalk" a President. You'd have to have inside information or where he is, which door will be used, what time is he moving... This info is not in the public domain. - Reply to this comment
- I apologize to our children. I voted or Reagan. I was young and impressionable at the time. Reagan started a race to the bottom this nation may not recover from. Had I've known what was working behind the scenes to undermine the sitting president, Jimmy Carter, there is no way I would have voted for Reagan.
