To whom it may concern,

After watching your story on plastics in the ocean I couldn't help

help but think of an email from a friend on how to reclaim all this waste

and turn it into a benefit for the country and reduce our need for

forgien oil. please take the time to look at this and send it to NOAA for

possible use and solution to this problem.

Please let me know if you've looked this over, thanks

Plastic back into the oil it came from ---

Not surprised at this at all, just a case of Japanese ingenuity and perseverance.
What is more important would be the marketing and very low cost to make it mandatory
to have one of these in every home.
Better yet, find a way to stop packaging everything in plastic.

Sound is all in Japanese. Just read the subtitles and watch.
What a great discovery! Also, read the information below the video about the cost.

CBS sunday morning is my favorite weekly show, I adore it! Sorry to say I don't care for the stand in host. Can't wait for Charles Osgood to return to the helm!

I prefer a soft, slow paced voice as host. The clipped, fast
paced nasal voice of Lee was a real turn off.

I'd like to thank CBS Sunday Morning for the segment on movie extras. I was lucky enough to have such a role in Public Enemies while part of the movie was shot in Oshkosh,WI in April of 2008. I have a whole four second shot in the movie. :-) Once again, thanks again for the segment. Sincerely, Michael A. Newbold of Berlin,WI.

The one aspect not covered in your story on the decline of movie theatres is the rise of the cell phone/pda. I used to attend an average of 2 movies a week. When I could no longer enjoy the films due to people talking on cell phones, text messaging and surfing the web, I quite going. I tried complaining to a manager, when you could find one, but they refused to do anything about the situation. I would love to return to a theatre and see a film on the big screen, but it is not worth the aggravation. I whole-heartedly believe any venue that offers paid admission for a show should be able to use cell phone blockers. I came to this conclusion after paying over $100 for a concert ticket only to have the person seated next to me text message through the entire show. Unfortunately there is no cure for rudeness. As with children, if one cannot use a toy responsibly, it should be taken away.

Changing the airplane's interior ambiance is nice, but that is only a small part of the problem. Homeland Security aka TSA, and the arrogance of the airlines themselves have greatly added to the public's negative sentiments about flying these days.

Love the show and never miss it. (thanks DVR) I always wondered about the song played at the beginning. I love vinyl and the subtle ticks and pops. It seems that I always hear them when you begin the show as if your playing a taped version from a vinyl album. Is this the case or am I hearing things?

Nice piece on the new Boeing - big windows, carbon composite aircraft, lights to manipulate mood - all for the comfort of the customer. But the seats...and the legroom...did I miss it - will the lighting make them seem bigger or more comfortable - can our mood be manipulated further with something in the air? Looks like same old, same old - just prettier.

How irresponsible you were in reporting on the power of social networks. You showed, and interviewed someone who said, what a good thing it was to interfere with proposed legislation (SOPA and Protect IP) without any reporting on the misinformation and innacurate representations made to lure unsuspecting Internet users to protest something they knew little or nothing about, and no reporting on how harmful that misinformation can be. Shame on you for presenting such a one-sided report.

What happened to the video about Dr. Olney from yesterday morning's series? "One Doctor's Experience with ALS: His Own." My mother has ALS and I wanted to see the video about Dr. Olney once again, but it seems as if it has been taken off the website.

Thank you!
