I liked the show Two and Half Men but in recent weeks Charlie Sheen's attitude has made me reconsider. Too bad Sheen didn't consider all the actors and production staff he just put out of a job.
I agree. Drug addiction or alcoholism are not diseases - they are choices. Ever heard someone say they are a former alcoholic? Why? Because they chose to stop. What other person with a disease can do that?
Addictions are diseases, just ask any doctor. They're just hard to understand because it looks like they're optional when in reality they aren't.
I'm not making excuses for Sheen - I just posted that I think he should be blackballed by every network. But as far as the people who worked on the show who are now whining about losing their gravy train - I have no sympathy. Sheen may be an alcoholic jerk, but it's not his responsibility to keep them employed. There are plenty of shows on air or developing for them to secure work quickly. No one wants to be unemployed but they're just going to have to do what other unemployed people do - look for work. They're not special just because they're in Hollywood.
Why on earth don't they continue with this show and replace Sheen? He's useless. With all his shenanigans he must have violated his contract. He may not want to think so, but there are many, many talented guys out there who could take his place and then some. It's not like he's some kinda Einstein...... which they don't need, anyway, to play the role.
