- Wow, I guess it is over for Obama and Holder. Everybody in BATFE acknowledges that there was no possible way to track the movement of the weapons. Tracking was never possible and was never the reason for moving the guns into Mexico. The Obama administration through Secretary of State Clinton and A/G Eric Holder's Justice Department schemed to create the illusion of an out-of-control illegal gun smuggling operation to scare Americans into accepting more gun control where none was needed. It all blew up in their faces when American law enforcement agents were killed, as well as thousands of Mexican police, soldiers, judges, civil authorities and non-involved bystanders. Now, Holder and Obama could be looking at charges of conspiracy to commit felony, the accompanying cover-up, impeding a congressional investigation, and possibly even treason due to their goal to circumvent the Constitution by illegal means. - Over 70% of the weapons seized in Mexico come from the US--the rest, by and large, simply aren't traceable, with only 1% being traced to any country other than the US.

Whether or not a few guns in this probe ended up in the hands of drug cartels, American gun manufacturers and suppliers are supplying gangs south of the border with weapons, and the NRA (an international NGO) is pushing the US to resist any attempts by the UN to stop this illegal and immoral arms trade because all they care about is $$$.
In short, the story is a non-story. Predictable anti-ATF propaganda from the party that won't even give the ATF any leadership, then mocks it when it appears to not have any. - Reply to this comment
