- As a Tucson, AZ resident, I am aware that many, many border agents and other policing agency employees are on the cartels' payroll. One female border agent was recently arrested for having taken over $5 MILLION in bribes!! If they can pay one lowly agent $5M, then I am sure they will pay most any amount needed to reach as far into our governments are they possibly can. Or ...
I have a curious suspicion that these were not ATF agents at all, but well paid actors. I wonder if the gunshop owner actually verified that this individual actually was the ATF agent as listed on his ID? ID cards are so easily forged. - There has to be something else going on here. I don't believe for one minute ATF did this to track where the guns went to when they don't appear to have followed them once they crossed the border. Sen. Grassley sounds as if he is starting to back off on this and starting to make excuses for ATF. The only thing that makes sense is that ATF did this to get stronger gun laws in the USA. I would not be surprised if they all knew about it. They sure have been making a lot of noise about the number of guns from the US that were going to Mexico. Come to find out they were going to Mexico through our own government.

- This is just the tip of the iceberg. I drive along NM HWY 9 for business (armed) and e v e r y single time I do, I see a person(s) walking northward on either side of the road. I call the Boder Patrol, report the mile marker, the time and the number of persons. At first I used to follow up with a call asking how many were caught. Now, I don't bother, since 'that information is not available to the public'. Saturday, I saw, I stopped, I called, I waited for 2 hours, Border Patrol never showed. I counted 87 people walking south to north. They didn't move any faster when I got out and sat on the hood watching them. 8 had what appeared to be AK type weapons, but never pointed them at me, just kept walking. We'd be better off offering a bounty of $10,000 for every Illegal turned in-DEAD or ALIVE!

- ATF is infiltrated by NRA. Industries want to make as much profit as possible in whatever way they can. ATF needs to be investigated immediately.

- There is a bit of an error in the last sentence of paragraph 11. "Buying a weapon for personal use and then transferring it to somebody else is against the law." Is not accurate as it stands (in fact it is patently false). Were it to read "Buying a weapon for personal use and then transferring it to somebody else *that cannot legally possess it* is against the law." Essentially if it were legal for that person to buy that weapon for themselves, it would be legal to buy it with the sole intention of giving it to that person.

- The answer is real simple: there are ATF people working for the cartel, high up people. Start checking their bank accounts. Remember the US Navy family, Walkers? They were selling info to the Soviets. Obama and Holder are trying to do a cover up. Can you imagine the out cry if several high up members of the ATF was found to be working for the Mexican Cartels?
