The job of a public affairs person is to get good press and maximize a good image. Don't punish him for doing his job.
The others in the ATF are asleep on the wheel and should be held responsible.

This story leads to the the top of the T+ATF and into the DOJ!!

It is pretty clear that the scramble is on to cver this up....."let's find only the good stories to report" memo from the the ATF proves this..

It is refreshing that CBS is providing this coverage on the story....but we will see as the blame goes higher up the food chain they may drop the coverage as it will conflict with their love affair reporting on the current administration!

I'm glad CBS has it's claws into this, it could so easily be swept under the rug by the Administration, after all, the perpetrators are the ones charged with "investigating" the whole affair. Justice Department? You need another name, the current one is an oxymoron...

A must read with posts from ATF agents:

I suspect CBS held back until they could verify what was actually going on. That often happens when the story is so big. It was good they threw out a teaser story to see if others would come forward with info. Now that the story is going strong I how CBS stays with it AND adds any of the local operations in since it appears ATF will now try to set up a few private citizens to make it look like they are not all corrupt/stupid.
BTW nice job Ms Attkisson and everyone working on this story.

Um, I'm not positive, but there may be a leak at the ATF.

Kudos to the ATF agent for stepping forward. I have spent all morning contacting Congress and Senate members about this issue. The U.S. gov't is responsible for the death of the border patrol agent and only god knows how many more people have lost their lives due to this outrageous program. I sincerely hope CBS stays with this issue till we get answers and until those who were involved are held accountable for their actions.

One can only imagine the outrage from the leftwingers here if Bush were still president, but since it's Obama and his cabinet running the show, silence...
