You are the one who knows not what you post nor how to spell most of it. Background checks and strict ownership is not Gun Control. DC had a ban on all handguns.....PERIOD. Ownership ITSELF was banned. That my friend is gun control. NJ jas strict gun laws but you are allowed to buy them. Most adults with an ounce of common sense can understand that.

- say that the "boys in blue" support gun control. No they don''''t! A lot of them support stricter gun ownership and background checks, but they do not SUPPORT A BAN ON GUNS

- OOPs a swing and a miss ....I am assuming that you mean weapons when you say "them" There is no claim taht banning gusn stops crime. There is a claim taht banning guns will lessen violent crime deaths
POSTED BY ZERRATO
Umm no that would be YOU swinging and missing my friend. You say above that there never was a claim that is would stop crime, only VIOLENT GUN DEATHS. Since when is a violent gun death not a crime. You have made an airtight case that speaks to both your lack of intelligence and your inability to make a logical point. I will have to move on and I apologize for your ignorance on this topic. - Reply to this comment

If you lived in texas you would know taht ther is crime in rural texas. I hear about it all the time on the rural television station i listen to in texas - Reply to this comment
- Banning them hasn''''t stopped crime either! It just allows the criminals to have them, and takes them away from citizens who have a right to have them!

There is a claim taht banning guns will lessen violent crime deaths. The only persons claiming taht it will stop crime is the NRA conservatives by allowing gusn to evryone. - Reply to this comment
- By the way the police are in favor of gun control. Ask the boys in blue yourself.

You say on one post that you own a bunch of guns and yet post your oppostion to this ruling on later posts. That in itself makes no sense (as do your other ineffectual arguments), but to take it even further, you say that the "boys in blue" support gun control. No they don''t! A lot of them support stricter gun ownership and background checks, but they do not SUPPORT A BAN ON GUNS as this legislation that was struck down today did. You need to think before you attempt to make an argument. A mojority of police officers are hunters as am I. Like I correctly pointed out earlier.
My right to keep and bear arms is not contingent upon what criminals do.
BTW. I did not say NONEXISTANT - Reply to this comment
- I am glad the "rural areas of Texas" has "nonexistant crime". Taht would be a surprise for all the district attorney''''s in the rural areas. Why do people make up this stuff up?

- Let me accept your premises and agree taht everything above is true. It does not mean taht it will stop crime, the conservatives have said it will stop crime if we allow everyone to have guns
Oh by the way I own 4 weapons, 2 rifles, a shotgun and a handgun

- "The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let''s not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country." --Adolf Hitler, dinner talk on April 11, 1942, quoted in Hitler''s Table Talk 1941-44: His Private Conversations, Second Edition (1973)
Hitler was for gun control.
So is Barack Hussein Obama.

GUNS are not made to kill people. They are made to shoot a projectile at whatever the gun is aimed at, be it a target, a deer or even a person. Much the same way a car is meant to drive, or a knife to cut something. Further than that, what they are made for has no bearing on whether it should be illegal for a law abiding citizen to won one.
To make it really simple for you. I''ll put it to you this way.

- Thankfully I only spend a few weeks in the USA every couple of years. It''''s the only time my life is really in danger, including the flying to and from the country, thanks to its support of Isreal. Just what the USA needs - more guns. I wish I could laugh because Americans are so absurd, but it''''s really sad. I hope my family still in the USA are lucky enough to die of natural causes.

- You can go to PA. or Texas and see people with rifles in gun racks on the back of their trucks yet the gun crime rates in these rural areas are almost nonexistent.

- Liberals have never said it will stop crime, thye have said it will decrease violent deaths. Should I quote you the figures of violent deaths in england and the rest of europe compared to ours.
Posted by Zerato at 08:50 PM : Jun 26, 2008
You are wrong on ALL your points sir. Liberals were/are behind the gun law bans in the cities that I have mentioned. Especially Phila, Detoit DC and NY where Democrats are elected almost without exception as mayors of these cities. Secondly, we Live in the United States of America and not in Europe. We started our country based on freedoms. These freedoms guarantee us the right to speak, live and in this case keep and bear arms. The fact that there is only 1 Amendment to the Constitution before the right to keep and bear arms is testament to its imoportance. If you do not wish to have a gun then don''t buy one. We have a problem however when you tell me that I can''t as a law abiding citizen own one. It''s unfortunate that your ideals are so out of touch. - Reply to this comment

- There are plenty of laws already on the books that do not get enforced. A simple background check for a firearm purchase is good enough. You can go to PA. or Texas and see people with rifles in gun racks on the back of their trucks yet the gun crime rates in these rural areas are almost nonexistent. The presence of guns is not the determining factor. The presence of criminals is. Put the criminals away. If they get convicted of 1st degree murder, they should be executed. The death sentence should be carried out after ONE appeal and with in a year.
