Comments on: Supreme Court To Decide D.C. Handgun Ban
Divisive Case Is First "Right To Bear Arms" Examination In Nearly 70 Years
- The most vocal advocates of unrestricted gun ownership tend to be also the most virulent neo nazi racists, for that reason alone I have been adverse to their message.
Having said that, however, I can see a time very soon when we will need to defend ourselves against the government itself.
For this reason I say ban small handguns, since they are of little use in such a situation where we might be fighting our own police and military, but keep high powered weapons available. - Reply to this comment
- It''s good to know that the Supreme Court is once more willing to give the criminal more consideration than the average citizen. We cannot depend on the federal government or even local police to protect us in the face of extreme emergency, therefore our right to bear arms, however interpreted, must not be infringed upon. The only thing a criminal respects is deadly force. Weak willed individuals must not be allowed to decide for us. The right to bear arms should be known as "The right to keep ourselves from being a victim of the criminal who does''nt care about you, your family, or the law".

- SUPREME COURT LIKELY TO OVERTURN LOWER COURT''S RULING
I can''t think of anytime in history where the U.S. Supreme Court granted Certiorari to a case where they actually agreed with the Lower Court''s ruling, so there is no reason for me to expect this case will be any different. Say "bye bye" to handgun ownership rights in this country. If you do have any handguns, do yourself a favor and hide them well, and don''t waste any of your ammo on target practice anymore. I have a feeling you soon won''t need any. Considering how much the government has done to desecrate our Constitution lately (e.g. The USA Patriot Act, The John Warner Defense Authorization Act, The Military Commisions Act, H.R. 1955, et. al.), the Supreme Court will likely overturn the Lower Court''s ruling, which will open the door for States and local governments to pass Laws which will essentially prohibit private gun ownership. I''m sure of it. Look at what the Supreme Court did with the question of "eminent domain" recently. They overturned practically 200 years worth of common law protecting landowners, making way for governments to sieze your property for private development, so long as it is in the "public interest" to do so. Anyone who says "this will never happen" needs to turn your TV off, and open your eyes to the realities of the world around you. Our Constitution has been under constant attack since 9/11. We''re frogs in a pot, folks. What we need to do is have a good ol'' fashioned Tea Party! teaparty07.com - Reply to this comment
- "Tyrants from Hitler to Mao to Stalin have sought to disarm their own citizens, for the simple reason that unarmed people are easier to control. Our Founders, having just expelled the British army, knew that the right to bear arms serves as the guardian of every other right. This is the principle so often ignored by both sides in the gun control debate. Only armed citizens can resist tyrannical government."

- YOU''RE A FROG IN A POT
My fellow Americans need to open their eyes to the fact that our Republic, along with The Constitution upon which it was founded, is being flushed-down the toilet by our nations'' bought and paid for politicians and media. While the Oligarchs warn and incite fear in the sheeple about the prospect of terrorism, they at the same time leave our borders wide open, and then conduct illegal wars overseas that do nothing but incite the terrorism which their Orwellian Laws like the Patriot Act and the John Warner Defense Authorization Act pretend to protect us from. Wake up America! It''s not about protecting you from terrorism, or Global Warming, or any of that other fear-mongering garbage the sold-out, mainstream media feeds you 24/7. It''s about feeding the bankers and the military industrial complex, and facilitating the global elite''s ability to ratchet-down control over the American people, placing us into a total control grid where they can surveille, track and control everywhere we go and everything we do. It''s the groundwork for tyranny. It''s the New World Order plan of Bush, Clinton, Edwards, McCain, Giuliani, et.al., being executed quite beautifully. You''re a frog in a pot: In order to cook a frog, you don''t throw him into a pot of boiling water. If you do, he''ll resist and jump-out. What you do instead is, you turn the heat-up REAL SLOW, and by the time the water is boiling, he won''t be able to jump out anymore, because it''s too late--he''s already doomed. - Reply to this comment
- TO APATHETIC AMERICANS
Voter disenfranchisement and apathy infects the heart of our Republic. Get off your couch, put your remote control down, and become active in your nation''s political process. The pathetically few people that do vote in this country, a.k.a., "the ruling class", who currently get to decide under what kind of conditions (and Laws) you and your family will live, are certainly involved. I can assure you of that. In fact, the ruling class would be much happier if you would just continue to stay home and watch TV in your pleasantly distracted and brainwashed, stupor. That way they can continue to elect their political ****** to office, and continue to maintain their grip on 100% of the political power they currently own in this country. If you voted (God Forbid), it would cancel-out their vote, and they would lose control. They can''t have that. Now can they? If you don''t vote, my friends, you''re nothing but an unwashed "Pleb" to those that do, and the ruling class should rightfully consider themselves superior to you in every way. They do, after all, have all the power, while you have none. If you''re too apathetic and powerless to do anything for yourself more time-consuming than driving down to Mickey D''s to buy a milk shake in order to sieze control of your life, and your country''s destiny, then perhaps you deserve to be ruled over like the "Pleb" that you then are. The time to act is now. The time for political revolution has come. The time for Ron Paul is NOW! - Reply to this comment
- YOU LIVE IN INTERESTING TIMES
America is tipping back way too far in her easy chair. Something BIG is about to happen, and I predict this upcoming 2008 election will be extremely pivotal. I''m not going to name any candidates. You probably already know who my favorite is. But let me make my point absolutely clear: If you think times are boring, think again. If you think the future is predictable, think again. My advice to everyone who reads this is to be thoughtful. Trust only that wisdom which is your own. 90% of mainstream media in this country is controlled by fewer than 20 different organizations. Unfortunately, they, like our sold-out political ****** in Washington, were bought and paid for by the military-industrial-pharmacutical complex decades ago. Therefore, they will paint pictures they want to paint, and people will open their minds to pictures they want to see. So, be skeptical. Be wise. Research issues and talking points on your own, and share what you learn with those you love. The future of your family tree may lay in the balance. - Reply to this comment
- WERE HAVING A TEA PARTY! YOU''RE INVITED
As we all know, freedom isn''t free in this country. Therefore, in the wake of our successful fundraising event of November 5th, in which we all came together to raise $4.2 million dollars for Ron Paul''s campaign, we''ve set yet another date for an even bigger fundraiser. This one will take place during on December 16th: a very important date for people who love freedom and hate tyranny to ring the Liberty Bell, and let our sold-out, globalist, political ****** and their mainstream media enablers know that good Americans are mad as hell, and that we''re not going to take it anymore. December 16th is the 224th aniversary of The Boston Tea Party: an act of protest by the American colonists against the tyranny of Great Britain where the Sons of Liberty boarded British ships and dumped crates of tea overboard into Boston Harbor. It was a key event which helped to spark the American Revolution, and we hope this event will, likewise, add additional spark to our own 21st Century political revolution to restore peace, prosperity and freedom to our Republic by helping elect a President whose record of adherance to The Constitution is unmatched by anyone in American politics. Please join us this December 16th for the largest one-day political donation event in history. Our goal is to bring together 100,000 people to donate $100 each, creating a one day donation total of $10,000,000. The time to act is now. The time for Ron Paul is NOW! Good to hear you''re not an UN-American, lile so many these days. Let''s not be "nattering nabobs of negativity." Let''s put our support behind the man as millions of others already have, and move the man into the White House as a Republican. By the way, I''m originally from Greenville. I think you know where that is. - Reply to this comment

- RON PAUL WINS STRAW POLL IN WASHINGTON STATE
Texas congressman Ron Paul won the South Sound Ronald Reagan Republican Club (SSRRRC) 2008 presidential primary straw poll with 38 percent of the vote at their October 26 meeting in Pierce County, Washington. This is his third SSRRRC win; Dr. Paul won their August and September polls with 28 and 48 percent respectively. Fred Thompson placed second in all three polls. This latest one of many straw poll successes nationwide for the GOP presidential candidate and leading war opponent. "Dr. Paul enjoys great grassroots support in Washington and across the nation," said Paul spokesman Jesse Benton. "His numerous straw poll victories show that Americans embrace his message of freedom, peace, and prosperity, and are ready to put a real Republican in the White House." Dr. Paul''s September 14 rally in Seattle, Washington drew over 1,300 supporters. - Reply to this comment

Posted by EarlyProphet at 11:53 PM : Nov 20, 2007----------------I heard that! It''s the way it should be. I would rather try and fail, than to not try at all. Besides, my old Granny might come back and "git me". My Dad was the fouteenth child out of sixteen and left me thoroughly unconfused at what "git" meant! :( Night all! - Reply to this comment

Two democrats told you about Paul. Wow! That is a testament to just how bad things have become. That''s why the oddsmakers in Vegas are saying that only Ron Paul could beat Hitlery. Giuliani wouldn''t have a chance. - Reply to this comment

- If he doesn''t get the Republican nod. I will personally fly down to Galveston, and remind him that he has a moral obligation to his country to do all that he can to save us from the likes of Giuliani and Hitlery. He''ll be there in Nov ''08. One way or the other. I can assure you. Ron''s not going to give-up. Nor will I.

- EarlyProphet,........I''ll tell you what''s ironic,.....it was two democrats that told me about Dr. Paul''s integrity and how he was more of an American than any other rep or dem running for office.......That''s just what I was looking for.....An "American"!

He never said that. He said he had "no plans to do that." Gotta read between the lines. Of course he wouldn''t say he he''d run as an "Independent." Wouldn''t that dissuade people from making a strong effort to get him the Republican nod. He''d much rather be in a one-on-one race with Hitlery, rather than a three-way race. Makes perfect sense to me. - Reply to this comment
- EarlyProphet,.......One little problem I saw Ron say,....that he was not going to run as an Independent. I about croaked to heard him say that.
