Chief Justice Calls Bush After Suffering Seizure; White House Says Roberts Is "In Great Spirits"
- The left is truly sick. Just wait until your folks starting suffering from medical problems and scandals. Are you then going to say that they had it coming, that it was their "comeuppance" for killing babies? No of course not, because you're hypocrites.

- If pro-lifers and pro-choicers could come together to some degree on addressing these issues we would be better able to move the ball forward as a society toward a truly abortion-free America, moreso than anything the Supreme Court does on the issue.

That's just one more thing Bush did wrong. To lead his office of family planning, Bush appointed someone that doesn't believe in abortions or birth control - only abstinence. That's pretty smart - take a bunch of curious, young, ***** teenagers and tell them, "Sorry you can't have the pill. But you can abstain from having ***." Yeah - that should work out in typical Bush administration fashion. - Reply to this comment
- If the Clinton administration was so sure that he had to be taken out, why wasn't he? Why didn't Bush Sr. finish the job in 1991? Everyone in the world is wrong except Bush and his administration? Also, why was Congress given 3 days to read the report before voting on the war resolution? Don't you think that something as important as war deserves careful, deliberate decision making? Why was the vote rushed in Novemeber 2002 when the occupation didn't start until March 2003?

- Yeah, so the CIA just sat there and decided that they can make up a story and that Bush can present this to Congress without any forethought on their part. These people under the Clinton Administration where predispossed to taking out Hussein, long before Bush came along. The only problem is that Clinton didn't and Bush did.

Yes - Bush told Tenet to create the dossier. Here's the link to the story:

Good post. Unfortunately the Court has decided on this issue. They have also decided against partial-birth abortion, too. For that I'm grateful. - Reply to this comment
- ., I would NEVER, ever wish them ill or rejoice in their problems, medical or otherwise. Anyone who does, or who believes that their political stance is directly responsible for their problems, has real problems.

Don't stop there. We Independents (of which I am one) can be pretty ruthless too. Cons may or may not wish for individuals in politics to suffer ill, but they seem to have no problem with destroying hundreds of thousands of people who have done nothing to them and also advocate torture. At least Dems and Independents (and possibly some Repentant Republicans) who see a comeuppance in the ills of the evil Reich are not actively pursuing policies of death, and at least they can point to distinct and specific things done that promote their ill will.
But I digress. I INSIST that you also note many Independents who are also mean enough, tired enough and enraged enough to take some measure of satisfaction in the idea that God don't like ugly and he is cleaning up the evil and ugliness that is and has been the Republican reign. :) lmao - Reply to this comment
- Only one was smart enough and wired in enough to God to take the hint and stop the evil he was doing, (Ashcroft quit) the others keep plugging away--"business and war" as usual. (pun intended)
That leaves Gonzales, Scalia, Thomas, and Alito and a few others......maybe God is doing what Congress is too partisan and the American people too apathetic and helpless to do...stop this crazy train. LOL

Oh, look at this!. Things are happening to this Administration because they've been very, very, very, bad. It's the hand of God. I see it's a sickness with you. Always have you head up someone's a/ss, now don't you. What a dog. - Reply to this comment
- Where in that passage does Clinton ever say that he knows Hussein had / has weapons of mass destruction? I read it three times and still don't see it. He said he's a threat and needs to be removed from power - he never once said that he "knows" he has WMD's. Liar.

- mudrose,
Abortions weren't invented when a "group of man-hating femi-nuts" got together. Whether legal or illegal they've been with us forever.
Reversing Roe vs. Wade won't stop abortions. In order to effectively reduce and ultimately eliminate abortions society needs to fully commit to providing adoption resources, *** education and family planning services.
If pro-lifers and pro-choicers could come together to some degree on addressing these issues we would be better able to move the ball forward as a society toward a truly abortion-free America, moreso than anything the Supreme Court does on the issue. - Reply to this comment
- Having two seizures so many years apart without any known culprit is going to be very difficult to figure out," agreed Dr. Max Lee of the Milwaukee Neurological Institute. "
I love this--it is a classic stupid line. No one, not even Roberts really knows how many seizures like this he has had. These are the 2 KNOWN and documented seizure. If Roberts has a form of epilepsy, he could have petite mal seizures so minute, that he and everyone else--assumes he was lost in thought for a minute or that he blanks out for a few seconds, then again, he could also have had many while unconscious.
the likelihood is very great that Roberts has actually had many seizures or electrical signal misfirings of the brain for years--what they should say, is that these are the only KNOWN examples severe enough for others and Roberts to notice. THAT would be a more accurate statement. As he gets older and defenses and coping mechanisms wear down, he will probably have more noticeable ones with increasing severity. There is some concern that many antiseizure medications do not actually stop seizures, so much as push the outward symptoms to a subclinical level and the medications in and of themselves can also cause numerous problems.
and we have this man as the face of judgement and reasoning for the highest court in the land. Talk about a bad pick. Amazing if despite all of Bush's maneuverings...God undoes all of his plans one by one. lmao. - Reply to this comment
- You're absolutely right - with the "intelligence" that Bush had the CIA create, everyone did think there was a threat. It's too bad Bush told the CIA to create the lies - do you know how many people would still be alive today?

- Democrats, or at least those on the left, have to be amongst the most soulless, black-hearted, mean-spirited folks on the planet. No matter how much I disagree with the ACLU, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, et al., I would NEVER, ever wish them ill or rejoice in their problems, medical or otherwise. Anyone who does, or who believes that their political stance is directly responsible for their problems, has real problems.

- "Idiopathic means they really don%u2019t know what caused it," Dr. Emily Senay told CBS' The Early Show, and added that the seizures could have a genetic component to them. "
EXACTLY. When my husband suffered seizures a very prominent neurologist told us that there really was not that much known about seizures or strokes, that some risks were known but for the most part, doctors had not yet unlocked the key to why they happen, and what they really mean.
Even epilepsy is not that understood despite numerous medications being on the market to control that disease. As for strokes, forget it, if Roberts strokes out, Drs. will do their infamous shrug, and try to claim there were no signs.
They are wrong, there are many signs, we just are not far enough along in the technology and knowledge of neuropathy to recognize them.
He could be fine again for years, or have a massive stroke. They should not say "idiopathic" for trying to pretend they are God and all knowing instead of just body mechanics that merely wield the tools and drugs created for them and TAUGHT TO THEM by the pharmaceutical industry, perhaps it should be changed to idiot-pathic. - Reply to this comment
- Pres. Clinton also said in Dec.1998: "The best way to end that threat once and for all is with a new Iraqi government -- a government ready to live in peace with its neighbors, a government that respects the rights of its people." Clinton said,
"Such a change in Baghdad would take time and effort, Clinton said, adding that his administration would work with Iraqi opposition forces. But once more, the United States has proven that although we are never eager to use force, when we must act in America's vital interests, we will do so." Wow. So the Clinton admin not only knew there indeed were WMDs in Iraq, but were ready to remove Hussein as well.

Also, if there was such compelling proof before Bush had the CIA fabricate the intelligence, then why didn't the Republican Congress authorize Clinton to use force? He doesn't have to ask for it - Congress could have created a resolution on it's own. Why didn't they? Because it's all bullsh*it - that's why!!! - Reply to this comment

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998.
"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999.
Pres. Clinton also said in Dec.1998: "The best way to end that threat once and for all is with a new Iraqi government -- a government ready to live in peace with its neighbors, a government that respects the rights of its people." Clinton said,

...
It WASN'T the Bush administration that used tanks and helicopters to attack & kill Americans on our own soil like the previous administration did at Waco.
Also, it WASN'T the Bush administration that shredded the Constitution by replacing "freddom of speech" with "political correctness".
That was also the previous administration, comrade.
