The new devils workshop group for sure. They'd be funny if they weren't so serious. Still I still think normal people will stop the loonies for Christ, just like we'll stop the loonies for Mohammad. Both side have their lunatic fringe, which are usually the parts that make the most noise, but the bulk of both sides don't agree with the fringe elements and won't let them prevail.

You%u2019re the second poster that called me a Republican but I registered as a Democrat years ago and I haven't changed my registration but I've been ready to move to Independent. The Democratic Party has been a major disappointment and these comment boards confirm my suspicions about why. Especially the Democratic Parties hypocritical attitude towards people of some religious faiths and that%u2019s to radical a view for me.

Back to the religion issue. What amazes me is how simple, unambiguous facts go ignored. We have an incredible fossil record of human evolution. The fossils include: Early members of our species. Early member of the genus ****. Australopithecines, true connecting links between apes and humans. Ape ancestors of Australopithecus. Early catarrhines with ape-like characteristics. Early anthropoids that are a blend of prosimian and anthropoid characters. Early prosimians showing the evolution of true primate characteristics. New finds showing the very earliest stages in the divergence of primates from other mammals. A rich fossil record of early diversity of mammals. Unambiguous evidence of the origin of mammals from reptile-like vertebrates. An even deeper history of vertebrate evolution, going back to the very base of Paleozoic. An incredibly rich record of life forms on earth before vertebrates arose. All of this in a time sequence. Facts borne of the earth.

And some biblical character gave rise to some other one at some point. And they stoned their children to death.

Maybe a government based on something besides religion is a pretty good idea. Roberts is not that idea.
