Although I am pro-choice I cannot be terribly upset with this decision. It is used later in the term and there are alternatives although more intrusive and costly. Having an abortion in the 3rd trimester needs more barriers. The disturbing thing is that this was driven by their political and religious agenda; not medical science. If this decision goes further then we need to take to the street and retake the initiative. Ann Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League is an idiot - to use the tragedy of Virginia Tech to promote her views is disgusting. Her cause is really pro-fetus; once born they remarkably lose interest. Abortion rights are at risk because we have justices on the Supreme Court that have more allegiance to the Pope than to our Constitution. The overbalance of Catholics on this court makes it difficult to believe they will have the best interests of Americans and especially women in mind. They proved their allegiance to the Republican Party in 2000 and now they are proving their subservience to the Christian right.

The next woman who dies from not being able to carry a child to term they can pat themselves on the back for having brought about! These are the only women who get this procedure in the US! Some accomplishment! They should really be proud of themselves! They wonder why people have gotten a bad attitude toward the Christian religion!

Hopefully women will not die becuase the court intervened with a politcal decision for a medical procedure. If they do, hopefully they will know the organizations and people to sue. Ann Scheidler (possible future litigant) of the Pro-Life Action League is an idiot - to use the tragedy of Virginia Tech to promote her views is disgusting. What happens now if a Doctor decides that if the life of the baby and mother will both end if the baby is delivered?

The only reason one should need such an abortion is because someones life is in danger. Should that not be the families decision to decide and not King Georges or the Pope or any other non family member?

The fact that the mother should die in such a case is a Christian belief. I believe it my self, but I also believe no one should force ones belief on another. The family should decide, along with the advise of ones Dr., not because the Christian Right tells someone they have no choice. Teach people, not force them, to understand the ways of Christ.

Wade-Roe has always been the target of the "christian right-wing". Seems they have, for the moment, won some kind of "victory".

But a victory for whom?

I probably sound like a murderous pig but I think it is the womens choice if she wants a child or not.Their are diffenately enough unwanted children in this worldThe only choice lyes in the heart and mind of the individual that has to bring that child to term then raise it with devoted love.If the moter does not want to raise a child then let it be,and there are plenty of other things in this world to concetrate on.PLus most men talk about a baby, but that truly doesn' mean she wants him

They did the right thing. This procedure has no place in a civilized society.
