In A 5-4 Decision, Supreme Court Decides EPA Can Regulate Greenhouse Gases From Cars
- George W.Trashcan deserved to be rebuked by the Supreme Court just as the American voters rebuked the Trashcan(Republician) party at the last election.

- Not surprising that slim Bushy is trying to protect his corporate buddies by refusing to enact pollution controls, but it is a shame four U.S. justices side with corruption instead of standing up for the people they are supposed to protect. Lifetime supreme court appointments are certainly one major flaw left by our founding fathers. The people ought to be able to vote out these losers just like the deadbeats in congress. Where's the logic in "balance of power" when justices are sewn up in a political party's pocket?

There are so many bad state actors out there - presently Sudan, Burma, North Korea, in the past Chile, Cuba, etc. and we never went to war with any of them. The only reason we really went into Iraq was because Bush wanted to be a war leader. With 19 separate intelligence agencies at his command, how could a President of the US NOT know that most of the justifications he cited were false before he made them?
Just my statement. I'm not inviting a debate. My comments are for the other people reading the board, you personally are unreachable by logic. - Reply to this comment
- mh4cbs1,
Lies?? Name one and back it up.
Here is what Secretary of State Albright said in a speech March 1997, well before the evil GWB got into office:
Consider that, under Saddam Hussein, Iraq has started two major wars, used poison gas and committed gross violations of international humanitarian law.
Consider that Iraq admitted producing chemical and biological warfare agents before the Gulf War that were sufficiently lethal to kill every man, woman and child on earth.
Consider that Iraq has yet to provide convincing evidence that it has destroyed all of these weapons.
Consider that Iraq admitted loading many of those agents into missile warheads before the war.
Consider that Iraq retains more than 7500 nuclear scientists and technicians, as well as technical documents related to the production of nuclear weapons.
Consider that Iraq has been caught trying to smuggle in missile guidance instruments.
And consider that, according to Ambassador Ekeus, UNSCOM has not been able to account for all the missiles Iraq acquired over the years. In fact, Ekeus believes it is highly likely that Iraq retains an operational SCUD missile force, probably with chemical or biological weapons to go with it.
Oops...dang facts getting in the way again. So who's lying?

- Is it me, or have most people on here been sniffing exhaust fumes?
Anyway, I love you America. Please don't go all wobbly like us Brits.
Goodnight chaps and ladies. - Reply to this comment
- Hmm...no mention on CBSNews.com of the Court supporting Bush administration's stance on detainees. So, does CBS intentionally make Bush getting slammed headline news while purposely failing to mention his victories? Hmm...this is curious.
I only read CBSNews.com because I can post here from time to time. Other than this feature, this outlet has no use to me. - Reply to this comment

With that sort of thinking, if general throughout Britain, then it is obvious why you lost your Empire.
Defeatist attitudes are certainly those of the defeated.

- America, we Brits have lost our empire. You are the greatest nation on earth, don't sacrifice your greatness at the altar of political correctness.
The green lobby want to destroy you, surely you can see that?
Keep driving your vehicles, and don't tolerate paying $8.00 a gallon for fuel at the pumps, like us Brits. - Reply to this comment
