So Oh!Bummer has things firmly in control - he is in charge - and he doesn't know anything about the firing/resignation of the person he appointed to run the inspections.

[At a White House news conference Thursday, CBS News Correspondent Chip Reid asked Mr. Obama whether Birnbaum was forced from office.
"I found out about her resignation today," the president said, adding that Salazar had been testifying on Capitol Hill and had not been in contact with him. "I don't know the circumstances in which this occurred."]

No worries for her at least. I'm sure she'll end up with a job in the Oil or Mining industry before too long.

Hahh, and we have the nerve to tell Mexico, Iran, N. Korea, Somalia to get their act together on corruption. I guess we're just a little corrupt. That ain't so bad. It's sorta like being just a little bit pregnant.

Well let's see how many of the actual inspectors that were supposed to be enforcing the regulations get fired. I'll bet not one of the ones that were taking gifts from the oil companies and looking the other way will get fired.

Let's once again engage in a debate as to whether the Republican Thieves Club (Bush) was more (or less) effective than the Democrat Liars Lodge (Obama).
.
Meanwhile, the totally inept federal government picks your pocket.... sends $12,000,000,000 a month to Iraq and Afghanistan while it can't even effectively oversee drilling operatins in the Gulf of Mexico.
.
And you still wonder why the Tea Party is winning elections?

So once again we are blaming Bush? Is it Bush's fault Obama only toured the area after pressure? Was it Bush's fault Obama's administration waited 8 days to take this seriously and get in gear? Was it Bush's fault that Obama failed to inform the country what was going on? Was it Bush's fault Obama hasn't given the Louisiana permission to build a barrier? I could go on and on. Leadership is not blaming some one who has not been in power for a year and half. The blaming is getting very old and CBS needs to stop being a mouth piece for this administration and its policies and ask some tough questions. DO YOUR JOB!

Even Obama himself blamed Bush today. He said this started in Bush's administration because he let the regulating departments get cozy with the oil companies and Bush and Cheney were "oil men". I had thought there could not possibly be anything more that is Bush's fault but Obama is a genious at finger pointing. I have had it with this guy. Hoping they find that Sustak was bribed to quit the race and Obama gets impeached. If that doesn't happen then he is only half done ruining this country.

It's more than blaming Bush, it's the outrageous hypocrisy and double-standards the CBS and the rest of MSM engage in on a daily basis. For example, from this article: Interior Secretary Ken Salazar's remark about Elizabeth Birnbaum's departure from the purportedly scandal-ridden MMS: "All I can really tell this committee is she is a good public servant." You'll never hear another word about this comment again. But Bush got crucified - over and over again - for his "Brownie you're doing a good job" comment regarding the FEMA director.

This is so disgusting. They all act like she just resigned. What a surprise. She was fired because she could not straighten out the agency in a year? Can we fire Obama for the same reason?
