Mr. Romney, I am a Vietnam Veteran. You appear to be willing to commit additional troops to the Middle East to actively and militarily confront the conflicts of the area. The United States Military is comprised of an all volunteer force. Our troops have been required to spend multiple tours in the war zones and additional months waiting for replacements with the application of the "stop loss" provisions. 1. Do you plan to relieve our troops in order to decrease the potential transitional issues and problems our troops are encountering today when they return to civilian life in the United States? 2. If so, do your plans include the re-institution of the Military Draft as a method to relieve our troops? 3. If the military draft is enacted will draft age(18-25)Americans be eligible for priority military deferments? 4. If a United States priority Military Deferment is enacted will your sons be subject to a priority Military Deferment or will they enter Active Military Service if they are drafted?
I have a few questions that should be answered in the debate by President Obama: Why have you refused to follow the law and enforce illegal immigration by deportation of all violations?
Why have you not intervened when Congress failed to pass any budget for the past several years, as is required by law?
Why do you insist on engaging in class warfare and racial warfare and further divide our republic?
Why are you running away from your record of the past nearly four years and instead, engaging in character assassination, innuendo and trying to paint a successful businessman as something otherwise?
Do you REALLY think just sticking it to the top 2%, when the top 10% pay around 90% of all federal income tax, will somehow NOT leave the burden on the middle class as well?
It is much easier to destroy something than to repair/restore it.
Republicans along with Bush/Cheney destroyed the country and looted our treasury. They block legislation to make corporations, big oil, big pharma and the super rich pay their fair share to restore revenue. They want you to replace President Obama with Romney as they continue fight and block anything to help struggling Americans and revive the economy.
Republican behavior is nothing short of treasonous including their bogus voter I.D. laws designed to strip voters including longtime voters of their right to vote by making it unreasonably difficult to obtain the added paperwork new I.D. laws require to vote. Well, it seems that the USA since the 60s has been deliberating about "Rights" whilst ignoring responsibilities.
Remember, every positive right means the transfer of goods and services from one group to another. The first group of persons loses those goods and services, but ALL citizens Lose the power that must be given to a political authority to enforce the transfer.

The USA has all the Rights needed for citizens in the Constitution. Wrong rights are the source of political power! (Why do you think that politicians have been pushing for more "rights" down the years?) It is nor Freedom, but Power, that is the central issue in politics!
You see it today. Both candidates want the power the Office of President holds, BOTH candidates use political dogma to urge citizens to vote for them. Not all programs are bad, but the electorate and the media have failed to properly scrutinize social welfare programs, so they remain unaware of the power being accrued to unelected officials and politicians.
Not that we failed to examine whether the programs were NEEDED, or SUPERFLOUS. or well or poorly run. What we failed to look at was the enormous power being taken from persons and being given to politicians. A quite simple rule of thumb for the future could be, to see which candidate states he is going to set up more programs to "help" you, or is committed to cutting programs!
If you vote for the latter (irrespective of party), you will vote for more money in your pocket, and less bureaucratic control! Don`t just get hung up on the goodies the media dangle before your eyes, or the promises the politicos make. The ONLY issue in November is the $17 Trillion problem hanging over the USA, and how the incumbent has dealt with THAT issue in four years!
Obama stated that he would cut needless programs that waste money and he has not done it. As you stated look at the $17 Trillion debt hanging over all of us and what has been done, nothing but more spending. People do need to quit politicizing all of the issues and ask themselves do we want to fix the economy or fight among ourselves which party is right. We all need to do the right thing, and it is not working at the present time.
