ZionjstCensorship says:
The Pennsylvania voter ID case will be tracked by Supreme Court watchers, since the state is seeking a higher level of proof from voters than was required by Indiana when it passed its voter ID law.
The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Indiana law in 2008, saying it didn't require burdensome acts from voters.
The Pennsylvania case also got national attention in June, when a state GOP leader Rep. Turzai said voter ID restrictions would help Mitt Romney win the state.
"Voter ID, which is going to allow Gov. (Mitt) Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania: Done," he said at a party meeting.

People that don't have photo ID are not ignorant or lazy; people who said this must be rich Republicans. In Colorado, where I live, it IS a pain in the A$$ to get ID. I live 50 miles from the nearest Driver's License renewal place. Everyone complains about it. Then, when you finally get there, you have to wait 4 or 5 hours. Imagine someone old and arthritic with no family nearby trying to get somewhere to get an ID and waiting in line all that time. Out here, there is no bus service to get to those places, either. So, unless you have $100 for a taxi.......... I am sure there are a lot of "same situations" in Pennsylvania. I used to live there, so I know how it is. There is no fraud to begin with, so this is just another attempt to try to steal the election AGAIN!

Suggest to your supervisor of elections to work with the drivers license dept to provide IDs at the polling place on designated days and times prior to any election. Thus, if someone can make it to their polling place they have no excuse for not getting that ID. What is your suggestion to "prove" an individual is entitled to legally vote?

So you are suggesting that the state driver's license offices each set up in the hundreds of polling locations? Wow!

NO fraud? Who are you kidding?
The DMV is not the only place to get an ID. Try your local police station.

If you want to vote then it is incumbent on you to prove you are a US citizen. (15th amendment) Why should I provide you with an ID? Should I be required to give you a ride to the polling place too? NO! If you want to vote you must be a US citizen, prove it first and you can vote.

So, you've heard all of the rhetoric, and you've heard all of the facts. I remember a teacher back in the early seventies tell us how we in this country do not have to "show our papers" like many communist countries demand of their citizens. I wonder if he would be so quick to brag now, in this land of the free...

Who the heck doesn't have a photo id? It's a neccessary part of life. And if you don't have one, for the price of a case of beer, you can get one. No excuse to not have one. Rediculous that you could vote without identifying yourself. Have we gone nuts as a country?

Damn! You can even get the ID free, and it's still considered a burden? Have the people become so pathetic that they cannot make an effort to get an ID? This is 2012 people, you need an ID to make it through daily life. Quit your freaking whining. And as for the 94 yr old woman that says "she may not be able to vote this year", what a crock. She didn't seem to have any problem getting to the court house. Could have spent that time going to get her ID. Save it!

The key statement is From Turzai, stating publicly that this will ensure Romney's win.

I live in PA, and have seen that none of them here are even discreet anymore - they put it all right on the front page and dare people to question their intentions.

Voter ID Laws are specifically aimed at POOR,RURAL,BLACK & LATINO Voters to keep them from voting. The GOP found out that the "easily hacked" voting machines weren't going to be used so they switched to this tactic. A recent study by the nonpartisan Brennan Center for Justice found just seven cases of voter fraud out of three million votes cast in Wisconsin. That amounts to 0.0002 percent of voter fraud for this past recall election. The Bush Administration has aggressively pursued cases of any form of voter fraud and found that the incidence of voter fraud NATION WIDE is approximately 0.000009% IN OTHER WORDS IT'S NONEXISTENT !!! This is about the coming election and disenfranchising millions of Black & Latino voters. The Republicans WILL DO ANYTHING to remove President Obama from office.

I REPEAT, STATISTICALLY, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS VOTER FRAUD! IT'S ALL IN THE GOP'S HEAD!!!

THEY WANT TO "STEAL" ANOTHER ELECTION ... DON'T LET THEM DO IT!

So if voter fraud is "non-existent" why bother with registration? Just let anyone walk in and vote - as many times as they like. Come on, folks, if you can make it down to the court house for welfare and food stamps you can get a FREE ID card!

A person needs some form of ID to apply for Social Security, disability, food stamps or welfare payments. So most of the people who are claiming they will be "disenfranchised" should already have an ID.

PA has a Republican governor. The court deciding this has a Republican Majority. The Republicans, as Republican Rep. Turzai has stated will win PA due to these voter ID Laws. The Republican goal is to disenfranchise folks from voting. If these Republican Voter ID laws are upheld, be sure to vote for President Obama and do not reelect PA Governor Corbett. If these voter ID laws are upheld, PA will be perceived as a backward state.

Reading comprehension is key:

"Supreme Court Justices in Pennsylvania are elected and the six justices - three Democrats and three Republicans"

"The laws in both Indiana and Pennsylvania provide for provisional ballots and offer free photo IDs to qualified voter"

"U.S. Supreme Court decision upholding a nearly identical Indiana law, which requires voters to present a photo at the polls"

In the United States of America, people of all walks of life have to use photo ID each and every day to prove age and identity. Get used to it.

Who will be disenfranchised? The dead? Illegal aliens? Convicted felons? Repeat voters? Boo-hoo! Preserving the integrity of the vote is fundamental to our representative republic! There is no undue burden to require an ID -- which you need for so many things already. Nobody believes your liberal lies anymore!

I forgot to mention that normally the PA Supreme Court has 7 members voting, but today only 6 will be voting. Why? Because one Republican Judge was suspended in May after being charged in a political corruption investigation. So, if the vote is tied 3-3, then the Republican Judge that previously upheld the Voter ID Law will be the deciding vote.Blame the Republicans if this voter disenfranchising is upheld.
