If your going to review this stuff at least be accurate. GM and Chrysler emerged stronger. I hope so. Shareholders lost billions, unions were told what the new deals were going to be and the gov forgave 10s of billions in money they gave them before bankruptcy. After bankrupcy the governemnt gave GM alone over 20 billion in cash. Cash we had to borrow. Chrysler lets not forget is onwed by an Italian company. I am sure they apprecitaed the money we gave them for the startup.

And Chrysler was owned by a German company before that. Yet Fiat invested in Chrysler plants here in the U.S., they didn't move production to Italy. Unlike a lot of the corporations here that moved all they're manufacturing offshore, with taxbreaks to help them do it.

Watch the 60 minutes show about Chrysler. It is on the move now because of new leadership. The new Dodge Dart sounds like a real competitor for the Cruze, Civic, Corrola market.

Tax cuts do not create jobs. Demand does. You can use all the reinvestment excuses you want. The tax cuts will flow straight to the bottom line. Giving a tax cut to create jobs is like paying a roofer in advance. He may show up to do the job and he may not. Only a fool pays in advance. How about tax credits at the end of the year when they can prove they actually created jobs? The wealthy can already afford what they want. It is the middle class who needs to have money to create demand. Slant the policies toward helping the middle class and then the economy might start to pick up.

ZionistCensorship, in short, what a load of crap. Unemployment dropped slightly this month, unless one considers those who have stopped looking. Housing markets look great, if you are a buyer. If you are a seller, the picture looks completely different. And where do you suppose the Dow would be if there were less things for businessmen to worry about. The auto industry bailout was started by that guy you all love to hate and blame for everything. Romney has never said he wouldn't have done something, he just would have done it differently (and both GM and Chrysler did in fact declare bankruptcy). And GM is still largely owned by the government (meaning taxpayers) and the value of that has done what? Clue, gone down. Osama is dead, yippee! And exactly what was Obama's contribution to that, other than saying yes? Combat ops in Iraq are over, another yippee! But what shape is that country really in, and what did all that cost in lives and dollars get us? I didn't agree with going in there, but once in, the least we could have done is attempt to do it right, instead of bailing like we did under the apologist in chief. I could go on, but you wouldn't get it anyway.

Lets look at the economy
16 trillion in debt, 50 K for every U.S. citizen. 81% of this debt is borrowed against S Security and Gov Pensions
2009 "America will have a balanced budget"-NOT!! Not after 4 years, nothing. So automatic spend cuts are set to kick in 2013. This means massive government unemployment. OB desreves a boner. He is fiscally irresponsible. Our hildren should not be burdened with this debt. OB has failed massively!!
Artificial stimulation of the economy is creating another bubble. Ask Barney Frank about bubbles (housing for everyone,,,banks give those marginal loans so everyone can have a house). Nice bubble dems, you left Bush a real mess...Greenspan warned, Bush couldnt stop it..a nice pop (notice Barney is no where to be found today..are you ashamed). Now more great policies.
Illegals should not have to be held to the law
Lower quality jobs being filled by desperate professionals, kids cant find work
Record numbers dropping out of the labor force.
Medical cost skyrocketing next year.
And the auto bailouts, Bush started them, Romney supported the bankruptcy process, its a process of law. Hey in NH they just found a huge Mary Jane crop. What a shame to destroy all that weed. OB could have a nice party with his Hawaii Chumna gang. OB rule was not to exhale, Bill C didn't no how to inhale.Bet they could learn a little from each other.

I have to laugh when I read all the Democrats b*tching about Bush's Tax Cuts and celebrating the fact they will expire in December. I hope you all realize it is YOUR payroll tax cuts that Obama and his Democrat groupies are taking away.

Don't believe me? Check this out-

Source: William Perez, About.com, Enrolled Agent for 7 years in Private Practice for the IRS

"This is now the second, and perhaps final, year for the temporary reduction in the rate of tax paid for Social Security coverage. 2012 is also the last year (under current law) for the reduced tax rates on income. Thus 2013 may witness a double increase in taxation from the expiration of the Bush-era tax cuts and the expiration of the temporary reduction in Social Security taxes.

Wage earners may want to consider negotiating for bonuses to be paid out in 2012 so as to take advantage of the lower Social Security tax rate. Similarly, self-employed persons may want to accelerate income into 2012 by increasing revenues or deferring deductions. Deductions can be deferred, for example, by depreciating property over its normal depreciation schedule rather than expensing the entire amount through Section 179.

Accelerating income in this fashion can create a permanent tax reduction if the wages or self-employed income are over the $110,100 Social Security wage base, since any earnings over that limit are not subject to Social Security taxes."

What Obama didn't tell you is that EVERYONE'S taxes are going up in 2013. How do you think he planned on PAYING for his health care bill???

Idiots.

I've checked the effect of the Bush tax cuts on my Biweekly. It's a decrease in my paycheck of $17. To me that's not so much. Each year that we keep the Bush tax cuts costs the government hundreds of billions of dollars. Go try Budget Hero and balance the budget with and without making the Bush tax cuts permanent. It doesn't work regardless of whether you cut the social programs using the Ryan Plan, and eliminating Departments of Education, Energy, and Commerce. You need to get real.

Now you're complaining about the temporary cuts to payroll taxes. These were TEMPORARY and meant to put more money in the pockets of lower income people in order to stimulate the economy. To keep these cuts would severely damage social security. Reversing these TEMPORARY cuts does not fund the health care bill.

My guess is that you are also criticizing the president for the budget deficit. Guess what the "Romney Plan" will do.

"Wage earners may want to consider negotiating for bonuses to be paid out in 2012 so as to take advantage of the lower Social Security tax rate."

Hear that wage earners, all of you go to your boss and ask for a bonus. See how well that works. I can just see the 7/11 clerk going to his boss to ask for a bonus, or the counterperson at Wendy's or the office secretary. Millions of employees going to negotiate a raise. What a laugh.

Self employed people earning over $110,100? Oh yea, they are suffering. And they take advise from someone posting a comment or about.com. Everyone's taxes going up next year? Yes, if Congress keeps obstructing and drives us off the fiscal cliff.

We're idiots? I think not.

retmw1- do you remember 2001. We had a drop in revenue due to the dot com bust thanks to unsustainable gains during the Clinton years.(not his fault). We had been attacked by terrorists ( or mischevious individuals (since Obama cancelled the war on terror). The populace wanted revenge and the Dems and Republicans voted for war and every spending bill that went with it. To get the economy back, the tax cuts resulted in a recovery. You may not want to admit it, but we had a growing economy through 2007. The Dems controlled COngress for 2 years before subprime hit. Why did they not do anything to prevent it? Dodd / Frank did everything to prevent regulation of Fannie and Freddie even as late as July 2007. So Democrats are to blame as much as Republicans for the mess. Obama made it worse.

It should also be noted, the increase in oil production in the US is soley because of increased production on private land, hence nothing Obama had to do with. In fact he has stalled production when he could.

It's the right that wants production stalled, otherwise they wouldn't be for tax breaks for companies the offshore jobs, or against the material for the Keystone pipeline being made in the U.S.

I've got a copy of a Williston, ND Oil-Gas Lease on my desktop. The well just started producing again, after a 50 year hiatus.

The modestly intelligent among us realize that instead of investing in new refineries, our beloved Koch Brothers have invested in massive storage tanks in Cushing, OK. When the price of crude drops, the Koch's pump their crude into the tanks and they don't let it out until the price goes back up. Same deal with oil tankers in the Gulf. They don't offload until the price is right. There's your stalled production.

When the Dems and the liberal media discuss GM, why don't they tell folks that government is on the hook for 26 billion that we most likely will never see, or the fact that in 2011 GM paid zero taxes and because of the agreement will pay minimal taxes for years to come, or how GM/Obama motors created 14,000 jobs in the last 3 years in China and Obama has the nerve to talk about supporting things made in the USA. We would not be on the hook for 26 billion if we would have let GM go through a managed bankruptcy like the airlines/etc, but because Obama owed the unions who now own a big share of GM.

So the workers own a big share of GM( workers are the union) that means they have a stake in the game. They also agreed to no raises for 4 years they only get profit sharing if the profit is high enough in North America.(Same contract as Chrysler and Ford). The workers still pay into they're pension fund and health insurance coverage.
jschm2681 replies:

Obama and Timmy G cancelled the pensions and healthcare of 20,000 non union employees of GM when they forced the bankruptcy court to give the UAW creditor status and give them part of the new company. Following the line of thinking in the Obama ad accusing Romney of the death a women 6 years after her husband was laid off by a Bain owned company, Obama would be responsible for any deaths of those 20,000 people and their families because of lost health insurance.
