2:50 is crazy talk. That is a serious run. This guy used to be a fan of Ayn Rand too... until he actually read it. But at least he never tied a dog to the roof of his car.
I was watching PBS this morning. They had all of their political shows on (Washington Week, Inside Washington, etc.) and one of the major topics of conversation on all of them was Ryan being "factually challenged."
Of course, the Rush-bots here will scream that all media is biased except FOX. But the truth of the matter is that those shows make it a point to have journalists from both left AND right leaning organizations on them.
And NOBODY attempted to argue that Ryan didn't lie.
by 7luckysevens September 1, 2012 9:57 PM EDT Do you overly melodramatic Democrat hatemongering drama queens realize that what you are getting so worked up about is a person mis-stating their time from a marathon they ran twenty two years ago.

I am not "a Democrat."
I am not "worked up."
If you (go back to first grade and learn to) read, I said "politicians." I did not specify party, either the two leading parties or any others.
Sounds to me like Seven is the only one getting "worked up" here. And I know why. Just keep whistlin' past the grave yard, Seven.
Anyone who isn't in lockstep with 7_eleven's blind partisanship becomes a "lib" in his eyes.
Of course, that's the same 7_eleven who was happy to see our money redistributed to Wall Street. He's an anti-capitalist lib, and can't even see that about himself.
Normally this would not be such a big deal---a person exaggerating his physical achievements as a young man. But Ryan has already demonstrated his penchant for lying in his convention speech, where he told some whoppers. And it is definitely fair game for Democrats to ridicule---look at how Republicans scorned Al Gore for claiming he created the internet (he actually said that he helped pass legislation that created the internet, which is true).
Lies are very different than spin. Spinning is focusing on only one part of the fact that suits a politician's purpose. A lie is an intentional misrepresentation of the facts. The marathon thing is BS, but the rest of the lies are significant as they had been pointed out the first few times he uttered them. How do you elect a person with no integrity. That does not bode well for the future, but with both Romney and Ryan doing it seems to confirm the old saying that "birds of a feather flock together."
Ryan being voted biggest "brown noser" by his high school senior class is starting to make sense. Embellish anything to get a vote. Sounds like his classmates got it right.

I don't see anyone on here getting worked up besides yourself, 7_eleven.
It wasn't "a" marathon, it was the only one he'd ever run. And those things tend to stick in the memory more.
For anybody else, when they tell a lie,it's a lie. For a politician, when they tell a lie, they "misspoke."
