Yes the guy is a Republican - only an uneducated, Fox News addict would be stupid enough to email a threat against the President (an automatic FELONY) to a general govt email address - the FBI can trace emails and IPs you know - care must be taken to make these traces more difficult.
The guy was a registered Republican. It was in the local paper. Republicans should have never made that comment about making Obama a one term president and saying they will do everything to make him fail. Republicans have been paid for almost 4 years of work and have not done one thing. We want are money back. Obama gets all the credit for stopping 800 thousand job losses. giving the order to kil Bin L Bush. Republicans are worthless. And we are all paying more for gas because of the Republican party.
It was in a local paper? Washington state does not register political parties to vote, we had a supreme court case and referendum to get rid of that years ago. He was a republican but not registered as you claim by a local paper.
So many hateful people want to harm our President. How pathetic the GOP of today is. They have made people want to kill our President when he is doing the people's work while the GOP is doing everything against the people that are not in the one percent. Hate is the Faux Noise business and they are responsible for their evil attacks against President Obama. The President has done nothing but work hard to turn the country around after the eight terrible years of republican domination that was for greed, corruption and wars that we did not need or want. President Obama and Democrats are sick and tired of the republicans doing nothing but standing against everything for the good of Americans.
"Obama just a black and worse example of Bush. Wake up."
In what way is Ryan "better than" Bush?
He voted for 6.8 Trillion $ of debt increasing legislation under Bush.
He voted for Medicare Part D.
He voted for TARP.
He voted for the trillion $ avoidable war (which Obama did not).
How does replacing Bush with Ryan do "better than" Bush when Ryan supported everything Bush did, and some had more in his arsenal (such as the No Exception ban on Abortion, to name one)?
No matter how much I dislike the current President for his politics. He is still our President and deserves respect, if for anything, at least for the office of President. Any person who threatens any of the members of the Executive Branch of our Government should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law.
If the man would show respect for his office, you might have a case. And speaking of the law, he breaks the most important ones every day(like stomping on the constitution .
No respect for the office and stomping on the constitution, eh? A large percentage of the population disagrees. You and I don't get to decide, which is why afsky1 is correct when he says to respect the OFFICE of the President. Respect for the office of President is independent of respect for the current occupant. With your so-called logic, if Romney gets elected, the Democrats will claim Romney disrespects the office and the Constitution and therefore they are entitled to disrespect him, too. This is no way to run a civilized country.
Not suprised at all, republicans spread hate, we will see more and more of that unless the GOP turns of the hate. "Officials arrest Wash. man over Obama threat

I do notice a conspicuous absence of rabid right thus far on this thread.
