With both UPS and FedEx supporting things like the Florida vigilante law it looks like I will be doing more business with the USPS. At least no part of my money will be going toward more stupid laws like the Florida "kill thy neighbor" law. As I understand it UPS and FedEX also support other laws that ALEC pushes to make life harder for the middle class. This is how companies like UPS and FedEx get the middle class to pay for their own demise. Since UPS and FedEX are against me I can see no reason whatsoever to do busines with them
The same goes for Walmart, a company that has shown by their support of the Florida vigilante law that they have nothing but distain for the lower and middle classes. That should come as no surprise. After all, the Waltons are members of the 0.01% of wealthest Americans and therefore could not care less how many lower and middle class Americans are killed by their guns as long as they make a profit. Money spent at Walmar is blood money.
wallmart, fedex and ups are in alex because of their anti-union legislation. the walmart family members are also against public education, they want it privitized. go to ALECwatch.org... its scary what this union of corporations is up to.
No dzaffina, I am not scared. I have known for quite some time that corporations will act in their own best interests even if their interests are diametrically opposed to the intersts of the United States of America. One weapon to fight them is to not purchase their products. Other methods are harder to identify since the U.S. Supreme Court in Citizens United stated quite clearly that corporations could do whatever they want to promote political positions in the U.S. without disclosing their activities to their customers.
In today's globalized economy it is a give that all multi-national corporations have international ownership and the Supreme Court has radified the notion that foreign corporations have just as much right to influence the policies of United States lawmakers as a domestic corporation, so long as they have the money.
What does George Soros own, nitwit? Coke is wisely making a decision to stay out of politics. And the "faux" news? It really lost its cuteness a long time ago. Time to move on. Did I say moveon?
really a business decision by Coke and Pepsi. They are catering to the population that spends more on their sodas than any other. These beverages are loaded with phosphorous which displaces calcium in the bones, large amt of sugar which contributes to diabetes, and weight gain and artificial sweeters in the diet drinks which many argue cause cancer. The overall health threats are well recognized by the informed.
Politics seems to be everywhere. I buy no more Coke. Just the thought they would be involved with politics on any side of the aisle makes me sick at heart.
How truly creepy must one be in order to be shunned by Coca-Cola ... for being creepy? Seriously, that's like being kicked out of Disneyland by Mickey Mouse.
Hopefully other major brands will follow Coke's lead and ditch these right-wing whack jobs before they flush even more of what we all once thought was the greatest country on earth down the pipes. Rock on Coca-Cola!
