Well, what do you expect the Republicans to do? If they admit that they nuked their own country with policies that even the stump-stupid recognize as stump-stupid, nobody with enough lucidity to flip a switch would vote for them. The only path they have left is to lie like thieves and hope their bill to let the criminally insane vote is made into law.

As the members of the Bush Crime Family previously learned, once you start lying and breaking the law, you have to keep doing it.

I hate these fact check articles... every politician in office can be made to look like a fool or a liar with the spin from these so called unbiased fact check articles, sites or organizations.

You Repugs/Tea-Bagger-Bozos just hate fact checking.
It seems that every utterance from a Repug should be
followed with an admission that the
"preceding statement(s) were not meant to be construed as FACT"

Your reasoning is simply asinine.
CortesDiddy replies:

My reasoning is that 'regime change' hurts US National Security. What is asinine is the circular reasoning used by both Bush and Obama. Not only was the primary reason for war in Afghanistan (bringing OBL to justice) botched terribly as was our National Security before the attacks, the 'leadership' in DC perpetuated the hostility in the region by their hubris and delusion that they could manage the politics of Afghanistan. The 'regime change' may now possibly lead to more terrorist activity, due to the failures of Bush and Obama. Removing the Taliban put this country's safety in further jeopardy, when all along the correct course of action was what it always should have been: bringing terrorists to justice.

The Republicans have continualy tried to blame Obama for the sins of Bush and Rowe. Then blocked any attempt reverse the trickle down policy they created. For their "dream" to actually have worked there must actually be a trickle down effect. Problem is that greed at the top prevented that from happening. So jobs were sent overseas, work forces reduced or eliminated, and millions of us lost everything we had. The 1% however has only accumilated more and more wealth. The Rush/Fox news generation has blindly followed the mantra spewed out of the party gurus' lips. Who served the wealthy's greed to perpetuate their lies.
Those who now complain that they are being taxed to death to support unemployment benefits, or oppose any substancial effort to keep the new (unemployed) poor from getting food or benefits, are playing dumb to the fact that they are paying less taxes now. This is simply more of the greed that has been perpetuated by the Republican party. None that do so ever considers the fact that it could have been themselves that got layed off, or lost their business.
The Christian Right is a large part of the Republican Party, I guess the Christian right can be callouse, uncaring, and self centered too. The Christians that I know, are very vocal about their Conservatisim, but to extend that conservatisim into not caring about their fellow man is not at all Christian.

Every single one of these 2012 GOP clowns is proposing the same failed economic policies -- more tax cuts, more deregulation and less oversight:

Reagan insider: 'GOP destroyed U.S. economy'

David Stockman, President Ronald Reagan's director of the Office of Management and Budget, explained in an op-ed piece, "Four Deformations of the Apocalypse," exactly how the economic decisions of the GOP over the past 40 years, is destroying not just the economy and capitalism, but the America dream.

Newt balanced it? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

You 'cons are hilarious with your reality distortion field. Let's see if I can grasp your reality here. When you have a Republican Congress and a Democratic president and times are good, its Congress's doing, but when times are bad, its the president's doing. Also, when a Republican president overspends (you do remember ALL the Reagan years, right, and not just the good times?), times are good, but when a Democratic one overspends, its a catastrophe.

'cons, did I get that right?

Dan, are you calling one of Reagan's top economic people a subscriber to socialism? One of the guys who brought you that 80's prosperity. I would think someone of Stockman's standing would have some credibility with you. Personally, I recall exorbitant mortgage rates and heavy deficit spending. And a number of raised tax plans. And yet another fail on achieving smaller government.

And you don't have to run to a completely implausible alternative to justify your opposition to something. Was it even remotely implied that we should tax people at 100%? No. And socialism has nothing to do with the democratic agenda. Unless you can find a democrat who openly promotes government owning the business sector - and I'm not talking bailing out this company or that, or even making unwritten partnerships between government and, say, Haliburton. But actually owning the whole thing.

See folks, not only is danny's reading comprehension faulty, but his retention of others' proposals is very weak and apparently his attention span only works with fox/rush republican talking points, since he's got those down pat!

You lose the argument as soon as you talk about taxing anyone at 100%, and then make yourself look even more foolish by talking about giving away money through the government like YOUR government CHECK and your SOCIALIZED health care.

BTW danny, we had balanced budgets in 1998, 1999, and 2000 after NOOT left in disgrace in 1998, and it was not just cutting spending (defense was less than $300 billion) but also the tax rates were higher on the wealthiest Americans which increased our federal revenue to almost 21% of GDP.

Why you dittoheads cannot understand simple economics of working both sides of the equation in order to balance the budget is beyond me!

Sorry danny, but your fox/rush parroting of the usual "socialist/Marxist" buzz words, only makes you look even more foolish!

If you're trying to justify politicians lying because "the truth depends on who's talking," well you're not gonna get a chorus of support. There are actual facts to find truth or lie from. If you don't agree with an individual call, fine. But discarding any 3rd party fact review because you want to protect the politicians? Good luck with that!

Food Stamp President? Apparently people like Gingrich adorn themselves with laurels of ignorance. Policies favored by Gingrich and others on the Republican caucus are the main reason people lost their employment and necessitated the need for food stamps to keep them nutrionally alive. Hypocrites like Gingrich are an embarrassment to the national political dialogue and Romney is not any better.

It's funny how he's trying to label Obama like that when the recession that started before his term is why so many people are on food stamps.

It's like his moronic attempt to paint Romney as the 'Bain' job destroyer, etc. etc. When what Romney did at Bain is exactly what the Republicans ideal of the American dream is...

Gingrich is only interested in getting elected, he doesn't care about the long term affect of what he's doing now.
