The Obamacare health insurance mandate was also struck down in Ohio and the Republicans kept control of the governor's seat in Mississippi. But leave it to the liberal media to mention very little of that and try to spin this in favor of Obama and the Democrats.

Ohio appears to be a largely unionized state. But I do not believe they are reflective of the rest of the country. Ever since James Hoffa organized the Teamsters Union. The organized struggle between labor and management has never taken a break. The management always seeking higher profit at the expense of the worker. Unions seeking higher wages and benefits. At the expense of the companies they work for. Let's take General Motors for example. For decades, my family always bought GM. But as the years passed. The increased wages and benefits of GM workers could be seen in the continued decrease in the quality of all GM products. Along came Honda, Toyota and other foreign car manufacturers. Their entry into the American auto industry. Soon resulted in a huge decrease in the number of American manufactured vehicles. Why, how did it happen? The foreign carmakers gave the American driving public something Our manufacturers do not. They gave them a little quality. Don't get me wrong. I believe unions are a necessary evil. Without them, the workers would be working for third world level wages. But unions that become too strong and controling, can and are destroying not only the companies they work for, but also our manufacturing segment. Outside of the unbelievable and totally unexceptable level of political corruption on Capitol Hill and in the White House. Unions, public and private, are the second greatest threat to America and our way of life. I'm going to make a prediction. Our enterence and dependability on the Global Economy. Will someday reduce the level of wages paid to Americans. Why? Because the only way America can successfully compete with the third world nations that comprise the new economy. Is to bring our national wage level down to somewhere near that of the successfully competing nations. That's what President Obama's transformation is all about. Once he make the transformation complete. He's going to drop the unions like a hot potato. Why? Because under a socialistic regeme, he will not need them anymore.

The INCUMBENTS,both Dems and Repubs, had better start DOING something for the benefit of ALL, that is if they value THEIR jobs. At least, maybe the voters will review the record of any incumbent before returning him/her to Congress.

Their first action could be the repealing of the Bush Tax Cut law for the rich which is due to be voted on November 23,2011.

And now the "End is Near" for the failed party. The voters will decide and the "do nothing" gop members in Congress just might get a wake up call. November 2012 seems so far away and our country needs help now.

I make no bones about being a conservative but this "personhood" concept is going too far. While I do not believe in abortion as a personal choice I also believe we should get teh govt out of these kinds of decisions. The GOP needs to get its act together on some of these so called conservative social issues. There is no common sense left in either party any longer.

All of our "civil servants" called elected officals should have their wages cut in half. Did you know that these people make the same ammount of money, That we pay them" for the rest of their lives with total benefit packages that are free also. If a Senator makes $174,000 per year, they get that much money for the rest of their lives when they retire from politics for the rest of their lives?. We the people need jobs and our elected officals are making pay that most of could only dream of getting. Is this the way our leaders should run our Country while some of us citizens are starving and going homeless. I would feel guilty collecting that kind of money from the taxpayers when we are supposed to be "broke"! New pay standards should be set by the people that pay these people their wages and benefits to be faair to all of us taxpayers paying their checks. Lets ask our leaders to lead by example and take less pay just like the rest of us have to take!

WHY do you think that political careers are so sought after? Political careers offer influence and power over others (things sought by persons with a diety complex), plus a far better salary plus perks after retirement along with contacts with the super rich, all of which satify the GREED factor.
IS THERE ANY PRIVATE COMPANY WHICH GRANTS ITS RETIRED WORKERS THE SAME SALARY AS WHEN THEY WERE WORKING? This should not be true for our retired elected officials. Do they have to pay into a retirement fund as do other government workers?
