well, he got 90% of the black vote. Anything racist there???
He got a higher percentage of white voters than McCain got too.

They probably will too.
She has a very moderate record as a judge, and has ruled in favor of the legality / constitutionality of the issues that she was presented with.

- Those, who can remember the '68 election will remember George Wallace, the Racist Governor from Alabama, (Session's Senatorial District).
Some things just don't change and it's most unfortunate that many powerful people in the South still look off the end of their noses to minorities and always try to brand them as inferior.
I often believe that the biggest reason people like Sessions could never trust a minority, is because he fears it may have connections to some victims that were oppressed before the civil rights marches occurred in '65.
This is a new time. Sotomeyer is educated and served the US Federal Justice System for years in other capacities.
I think Sessions just is afraid he may have to tell his constituents that becoming bi-lingual to engage in the global economy and respecting other cultures, religions, and races will be part of the future for Alabama. - Reply to this comment

It would say "Sotomayor Cannot Be Impartial"

- I will be happy when the Soto Matter is over. After MJ hoopla we were looking for a respite. Now everywhere I see the smiling face of Soto. Like most successful people she has her own recipe for success- be a woman, be a Latino- and you are better than the rest. Other successful people had other brew they drank from. She may not be the worst justice. But she is not impertial.
