No biggie!

I have an old wood stove & enough downed timber on my property to keep it burning for 100 years. Small solar panels to charge my LED light system. Setting up a battery power storage unit & my large solar panels are on order. Just a few more items to pick up & I'll be off the grid totally. I'm not doing all this because I buy into the climate change thing. I'm doing it to raise a huge middle finger to all the new taxes that are going to be added to your power bill. By some estimates, take a look at last January's power bill & double it. (Possibly more in some regions) Many of you will be begging Chavez to stop by your house with some of that discount heating oil. (But, will they let you burn it??)

No the Republicans want everything free. They don't want to pay taxes, they want someone else (the firm father figure) to pay for them. Idiot tea baggers complaining about some of the lowest taxes in the world.

OMG taxes. OMG socialism. Let's give ALL our money to the rich corporations who pay no taxes and hope for a bone. Wheeeeee!

Bone headed, ignorant tea baggers unite. Welfare for the rich, tax the poor, then we can have even more money for war. Wheeeeee!

Obama has lied about...

1) Increased Taxes
2) Earmarks
3) Hiring Lobbyists

And thats just the start...Cap and Trade will kill this country. Businesses will leave and move overseas killing the job market. Besides whats the point in Cap and Trade if we are the only ones doing it. Wake up America, don't allow this to happen.

noloyalisti...it is more like let's let the rich corporations EARN more money...oh my!!!

That is what free enterprise is all about. If you can earn it do so. If not, find another way. What is wrong with someone with a great idea getting rich on it?

You are correct people don't realize what this bill will do: move companies to other countries, costing millions of jobs; increase the price on pretty much everything, including fuel for heating and cooling; run many farmers out of business, nice we will import our food. And geez since the idiots pushing the bill won't even read it, who knows what else is in it. And I don't listen to Limbaugh, I use common sense. Solar and wind energy is good, but you need to look at the land it takes up, peta lovers are already upset with wind turbines because they kill birds. Biofuels, corn etc. crops take land to grow and water, not very enviromental. We have lots of natural gas and oil in this country, but the environmentalist won't allow it. Republicans are scaring anyone, its liberals and their "sky is falling" crap and an billion dollar global warming industry.

Go ahead and leave...it'll be hard to find a place for you that doesn't have that 'socialist' healthcare system though. Bye Bye Repulsivecan!

With the Republicans gone i.e. taxpayers who will pay for your healthcare. I pay for mine and have since I was eighteen, do you pay for yours?

You are kinda backwards on this (as usual) noloyalisti. The conservatives do pay their own way and want others to do the same. I have been poor, and still voted conservative. I didn't want a handout, but a hand up. I got a job doing min wage, and worked my way up to my current place. Welfare does nothing but create dependency on welfare.
by noloyalisti July 7, 2009 6:36 PM EDT
When you support big corporate welfare, killing women and children for oil and are scared of thought, compassion and pretty much everything else like Republicans, what can you say? Oh, they also care for cheating on their wives and gay relations as long as you preach against it.

I would love all the Republicons to leave this country. All they do is teabag each other while complaining about some of the lowest taxes in the world. They support scum sucking fascist corporations who take our young for invasions for profit. They believe that they are entitled to get everything but pay for nothing like our criminal big corporate CEOs. They are a disgusting, twisted, perverted and greedy group those Republicons.

I love the entitled and pay nothing comment. The Republicans are the ones paying your bills so you can sit on your behind all day. You don't mind the cap and trade increasing prices on everything and moving companies to other countries because everyone else foots the bill for you. Again my question is once obama taxes the working people to death, who will then pay your bills? And you and your kind are the greedy ones who want collect others paychecks. Republicans believe in paying their own way, taking care of themselves, with hard work and non whining. Gee, when was the last time you saw a welfare addict voting Republican.

cdegolier, don't waste your breath on this troll, "noloyalisti". He's a joke. Oh, but he's also a liberal too.
by tincup356 July 7, 2009 9:26 PM EDT
So far I haven't seen Obama do ANYTHING different than the Bush administration,,,,,,in fact it is business as usual in Washington,,,,,Steal from the people and worship the ground lobby America owns. When are the idiot people of this country going to wake up and see,,,,BOTH parties just vie for lobby dollars,,,,they could care less about the people,,,,they just want your vote,,,that's it. The Democrats and Republicans are no different than the crypts or the bloods,,,,,,except they wear suits and ties,,,,,,,other than that all four groups are of the criminal element. What Ross Perot said years ago never held more true than today," It is time to take the shovel and clean the barn". If we want our country to recover we must remove the cancer that ails it, the lobby dollar and ALL it's players.

Totally agree. The CONS and their corporate lovers and owners love socialism and welfare as long as it for the rich. It is actually hard to believe that they love being ignorant, greedy and stupid and then invoke religion and patriotism when it is in fact EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE.

Once again fear & ignorance is what got us in this mess in the 1st place. The one moron said our gas prices will go up. Guess he doesnt realize that is exactly what this bill will do, lessen reliance on foreign oil & increase use of alternatives. Oh I guess you also forgot how much gas went up under oil man Bush from about 1.60 to 4.07 last July. Also Sec Chu won the nobel peace prize in 1997 & is a leader in harnessing solar power & biofuels, something thats actually good for this country. We finally an energy bill that will address serious issues, yet fear & lies is all you want to spread. Get your facts straight! Too much R Limbaugh is clouding your facts

Once again a warm heart felt thank you goes out to all the idiots who put this moron in office. What will you all do when he taxes the Republicans out of this country, who then will pay your bills.

The liberal democrats / aka "the middle class".

The same people that have been over-taxed to death for years.

At least now while we're paying taxes, the republiscum won't be there looking for tax breaks and bailouts, siphoning off our hard earned money.

hungry - liberals are 21% of the population. Conservatives represent 41%. Moderates make up the rest.

Do you REALLY believe you are correct in yor assessment of who the middle class is ?

CLUE - liberals tend to be younger than Conservatives, because once you start to make money, you start to see the light of not allowing others to give it away.

It's about time we got some socialism. Otherwise all you have are greedy, unfeeling, murderous corporations running EVERYTHING. Of course since the greedy, ignorant Republicons like being told what to do, what to eat, drink and breathe and what to think, they actually LIKE right wing fascism. Go figure.

noloyalisti you and Benton09 are typical far left posters.

Thanks for your stimulating point of view.

Zero intellect and facts, and all name calling.

Yes, Moderates, these are the people you aligned yourself with.

Just what we need in this country. Higher energy bills, higher gasoline costs, more government involvement in every day life. Things are getting better folks.

Hey NE, just wait until next winter when there will be no coal for your cheap heating of your homes and no home oil for your furnaces. I expect that is when something will hit the fan as god forbid NE were to suffer under a democrat.

If bubble gum chewing was the problem, he'd be PERFECT for the job.

Any President that thinks he is going to "Change" the climate is freeking nuts though.

This man is trying to ruin the nation, and he's doing a Damn fine job of that.
by tincup356 July 7, 2009 9:15 PM EDT
NO ONE in Washington knows squat,to admit what the real problems are would be to admit they created them through lobby tainted legislation by BOTH parties over the last 50 years,,,,now it paired with mass greed have led to where we are today.Obama is a big of crook as Bush was a warmonger,,,,and NEITHER of them care about the people.someone would have a better chance of building a card house in a tornado , than finding an honest politician in Washington who represents the people.
