There is some nixonian quality to the resignation of Sarah palin. Both got up there and said the press will not have them to pick on any more. Palin's press conference was worse, Nixon did not resign, he just lost.

I see that you are already in Palinworld, the place where quitting is not quitting. Do you get foreign affairs experience there by looking at Russia. Can you see Russia from your front porch

Neither pro or con Palin but I love the Palin-hate comments from the same people who voted for and still think Obama is smart and better yet, that Joe Biden can walk and chew gum at the same time. Talk all you want but in the pit of your stomach, how many regret their vote for hope and change? How many wish they could have a do-over and vote for someone else, like Hillary for example so, hindsight being 20/20 how smart does that make you?

Only in Palinworld could quitting her job as the elected governor of Alaska be anything but quitting

Yea, she's currently training for her "next campaign" by gutting fish in remote Alaska fishing villages. Yep. That should help.

Sarah Palin is not a quitter. She is a simply a premature terminator of her prior commitments. There's a big, big difference here.

Hey Daffy64

The Word "Saray is spelled Sarah" and the word Classy can't be used in the same sentence as the two words Sarah Palin.

Anne Coulter OMG that lady has some Major Issues and need to be put in a Group Home. Its time for you to sign off the internet daffy64 and go turn on the Radio and listen to Rush spew his right wing hog wash and hate this afternoon.

No, just a reminder of the horrible mistake, irresponsibly electing a totally unqualified community organizer to the postion of President, and an even more senile boob Gaffe machine Biden.....what's next, Biden accidentally declaring war, and then Obama has to say it was a mistake....this is embarrassing....was that lunch a month ago, the only time Biden and Obama meet and discuss what to say or not to say ?

So she's "not a quitter"? Then what do you call someone who abandons the office for which she campaigned so hard?

Actually, she'll be better off is she does quit making a fool of herself in public and retires to live a quiet life with her trailer-trash family.

Doesn't she remember about the other two quitters in the presidential sweepstakes and what happened when they changed their minds yet again? Of course she doesn't politicians have shown that none of them are capable of learning from their own mistakes, much less the history of others.

Sarah Palin

Keeping her name in the news on a Monthly Basis. Now that Sarah has quit she has more time to teach her kids morals and valuse and hopefully her other daughter will not get knocked up before 2012 its hard to teach W.T children Morals & Values and Respect when you are a bad mother & parent.

"I'm not a quitter" -- sounds like "That depends on what you definition of 'is' is."

First off, let me say that Sarah Palin is no worse than 95% of the country when it comes down to it. She will continue to be a larger presence in the media going forward, my guess is she will go to Fox News, make a ton of money speaking and have a great life. She will continue to speak for a significant segment of the population and will be followed by all.

Those who focus on her 2012 intentions are so far off the point. The one thing we should have learned in the past eight months is that the real power in the Republican Party lies with Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. Sarah is going where the power is. That's smart if what you want is power. It's like being a governor but without actual responsibilities.

Why stop at flaky and wacky - Caribou Barbie is delusional, out of touch with reality. She's so crazy she scares me. She ought to be heavily sedated - anything to shut her up.

Yup. And I'd be fine with having Speaker Pelosi as President, although it wouldn't have been as good as what we have now!

"IF I DIE, I DIE". Possibly a paraphrase from the Book of Esther in the Bible. It actually reads: "I will go to the King, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish."
Palin is hardly an Esther who was going to the King to plead for her people, the Jews. Esther succeeded in persuading the King because he had such love for her that he saved her people. Esther was a national hero. Hardly is Palin in the same category as Esther. Christians who know their Bible know that Sarah Palin is not acting according to Christian beliefs but her own take on it. How fortunate we are that she was never elected. She could not handle that 3 am call. Unfortunately she has become a laughing stock.
