The Russians 92 years after their revolution are a one-party state with criminal favorites in-charge of vital industries. The Americans 233 after their revolution are a multi-party state with private industry in a love-hate relationship with government, both leeching-from and resisting the nationalization that Russians assume is normal for themselves and throughout the Third World. These two systems are not the same. A lot of applause on this blog if we become more like the Russians. Big mistake.

enriquieGonzales, you 100% correct about the nuclear mess the world is in.

That pandora's box has been opened.

I can see Iran deciding to make hundreds of these bombs and then saying that unless the world does XXX (insert your demand here), they will commit world murder and suicide by exploding enough of the weapons on themselves to implement a nuclear winter.

And, the far left will have helped them do it, as they claim "Iran has a right to nuclear power. Iran needs nuclear power."

We have seen how the Ayatollah wants to run his country. We have seen how he wants us to shut up. Do we REALLY want him to dictate to the world ?

Well President Queen Pelosi, King Reid are starting to talk about another "stimulis Package" since the first one worked so well. We only lost 500 thousand jobs in June, but that trillion saved 60 thousand according to tax crook Turbo Timmy. Now that was cheap enough.

After WWII the US did a study and calculated it would take 10 Megatons (400 Hiroshima-size bombs) to destroy the US. There are now tens of thousands of bombs of 10 Megatons.

There is NO LIMIT to the size of a Hydrogen (Fusion) bomb. The Russians tested a bomb of 50 Megatons that had been "reduced" from a 100 Megaton bomb.

Many bombs of smaller size are more effective at destroying wider areas, so we can surmise a few thousand 1-Megaton bombs would be more than enough to destroy the world.

What madness, and even more so to question the reduction in nukes now being discussed between the USA and Russia.

Most Americans must be proud to have a non-antogonistic President with command of the English language.

For a change.

Remember what Bush said to Putin when he visited the white house?
"I look at him in the eye and had a sense of his soul?" LOL..what a guy, Bush crack me up LOL. .....Thats all Bush was about...watching. Looking and sleeping with no darm clue while a world economy came crashing down. He achieved no result with Putin meeting, ZERO, ZIP NOTHING. But yet these sorry ass GOP rightwing haters here said nothing. Like Bush, they had ZERO to say. ZIP NOTHING.
Ok , Now Obama went to Russia, with careful planning and sharp diplomacy he closed a deal on WMD reduction, closed a deal on the use of Russian space to access Afghanistan, managed to get Russia on board to agree on a joint effort to stop Iran & North Korean Nuclear enrichment AND get Russia to both set a timetable for a World leaders meeting on WMD proliferation and reduction set. Now this IS a big deal. and this is what the right wingers are going nuts about , Its hard for them to see Obama went to Russian and in ONE DAY accomplished such. My advice to them: Let them suffocate in their hatred, and let them remember one thing is certain, Obama is doing the right thing UNLIKE dumdass BUSH and the rest to the GOP skumbuckets.

I know that this is totally off topic but... I was reading some stories on Fox to see what their side of the story was. When I scrolled to the end of the page they had an advertisement for refinancing you home. This ad said "Obama urges you to refinance your home." Then gave some rate quotes.
The above quote was done as a link...
I thought that it was a bit strange so I clicked it. It was for a web refinancing site...

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/07/07/palin-blasts-critics-resignation-announcement/comments/

it was at the bottom of this page.

What the F... It seems like it has been fabricated by the news outlet to. I don't think that I've ever heard Obama suggest refinancing homes. What's the deal.? How can they have an advertisement for something like that?

If there is a God, save me from all this rhetoric. I seek action, not in war, not in peace, but understanding. Words mean nothing and have no value. Words are like leaves upon a wind and quickly blown away.

These tiresome homilies of Obama are not going to make any difference with Russia. The President of the only Super Power admonishes other countries that pursuit of power is not healthy.Nothing could be more ridiculous.Obama's entire trip with his family is just a series of grand photo opportunities for hype at home and not much of anything else.
